FMR. PRESIDENT JIMMY CARTER is today reported to have not only sent off a condolence message to North Korea over the death of mass murderer, horrendous DICTATOR Kim Jong-il, in it he also addressed comments to the heir-apparant, Kim Jong-un, and wished for "his success" as he goes forward to "assume power."

This by the Director of the
The Carter Center (Georgia)
LINK which has a specific mission of watching and guaranteeing free elections around the globe. The Carter Center website praises how they have been instrumental worldwide
in fomenting representative democracy through popular, open, free and verifiable elections and plebiscites giving the people direct, unfettered say in the affairs of their lands.
And yet:
--THERE HAS BEEN NO FREE, OPEN POPULAR-BASED ELECTION OF KIM JONG UN TO LEAD NORTH KOREA
--THE 27-YEAR-OLD RECEIVES POWER COMPLETELY DEVOID OF OPEN AND FREE ELECTION BUT BY MERE DYNASTIC DESIGNATION BY A DYING DESPOT a few years ago, and rubber stamped by a illegitimate Korean Workers Party.
--This man Jimmy Carter has the NERVE to send such an ill-advised message which is now being used internally as propaganda by the North Korean authorities to solidify the internal dictatorial succession and oppress the people further. Further he expresses a desire to visit North Korea again.
The conclusion can only be this: Jimmy Carter has a direct hand in LEGITIMIZING D.P.R.K. GOVERNMENT BY TERROR AND ILLEGITIMATE, ARBITRARY COERCION, in complete contradiction to the stated Mission Statement and Goals of the "Carter Center" of which he founded and heads.
Somebody with a megaphone should bring this up and force Mr. Carter to make an explanatory statement about it, legitimizing his comments and communication to Pyongyang in light of a) the horrendous situation rampant in one of the worst violators of human rights on the planet where i) no free elections are allowed and never have occurred since first promised in 1945; ii) accordingly no election observers are allowed by the Carter Center or anyone else into the DPRK, and b) in direct contradiction with his own organization's objective.
Does this organization get any US NGO or 501 (c)(3) federal funding? The press is already on to this story, but the Center spokespeople have all apparantly fled and/or conveniently "gone on vacation."

Jimmy Carter is the prime example of why I would support a constitutional amendment to raise the minimum eligible age for president to sixty. Old presidents leave office and tend to retire into peaceful obscurity. Young ex-presidents still yearn for relevance and attention.
Carter became president at age 52, left office at age 56, and has been a public pain the a$$ for last thirty years. Clinton has the same problem, and I predict that Obama will be an even more annoying ex-president than Carter.

The bottom of the self-loathing depths of American Progressivism has been reached. Its repudiation is the repudiation of utter moral surrender.

Carter still thinks he’s the US Pres. representing us in N.Korea. Won’t be the first time he’s screwed things up ...but am not so certain Obama isn’t pushing this.

Yes. It could be back channel. They will try to get either Jimmah up there for the funeral, or Bill Richardson. You just watch. Time for a Narita or Beijing Airport stakeout.
IMHO, if "Princess Tenko" (and female Japanese magician KJI was "fond of" in probably more ways than one), can get a golden engraved invite for the interment of the dictator's carcass in Pyongyang next week, why then I am sure the appeasers in the State Department are working overtime with New Mexico or Georgia or both for this matter. As much as there were many elements to George Bush's policy particularly under Condi Rice I disdained, I doubt they would be kissing Norkie Ass like this. It is disgusting!

The Japanese announcement running on state run KCNA News Agency, in four languages, including Japanese, about Carters message of legitimization of Kimg Jong Un, is nothing short of disgusting and stomach turning.
This man has been used as a TOOL:
Especially the bold faced part basically recognizing this kid as a leader, with no mandate at all. They are saying a former US President recognizes the future leadership of Kim Jong Un of the nation.

On the other hand, you're probably right about his one day being even more annoying than Carter.

Maybe Carter can work his magic on the new regime and the young-un. You'll recall that when Jimmah went to NK and orchestrated his ad hoc meetings with Kim Il-Sung, the old commie clutched and dropped about three weeks later.

I hope that BHO will follow in the footsteps of this poor excuse for a POTUS. One term and a legacy of failure in office.

Bumping this again, for the latest word out of North Korea is that generals who were found not observing the mourning period for Chia Pet (i.e. engaging in sexual trysts or getting drunk -- probably celebrating), were not only put before the firing squad on the orders of Kim Jong Eun, the firing squad was composed of MORTAR FIRE. On the direct orders of the 28 year old leader that "not a trace of the traitors be left, down to their hair."
This is the same Kim Jong Un who received both a condolence on the death of his father and a congratulatory on assuming power, from none other than JIMMY CARTER of the CARTER CENTER. Hypocrite Bar None!

Thread bump again (a few months later), in light of new developments under Kim Jong Eun such as
a) "death by mortar firing squad" internal North Korean leadership purges, and b) planned April ICBM launch by North Korea in violation of international agreements and slapping the Kenyan in the face over this. (Obama slated to visit the DMZ in a little while, I am sure they will be quaking in their Russian-made jackboots over there across the MDL at Panmunjom when they see our Dear Leader up there). / sarc
PS Jimmy Carter is an absolute disgrace!!

Useful idiot for life. Only assuming room temperature will save him from this mental disorder. There should be an entry to DSM manual for this kind of problem.

Funny AiT, that you should mention the Buffoon from Georgia, my long standing tagline has been deemed unacceptable and I was instructed by a mod to remove it yesterday ... I wrote back to ask why after all these years it suddenly had to go. I'm still waiting on an answer. So in the meantime, the below words cannot be used as a tagline:
Jimmy Carter is the Skidmark in the panties of American history, 0bama is the yellow stain in front!
Have a good weekend AiT!
