A funny thing happened on my way to shop at Target yesterday: there was no Salvation Army guy with the little red kettle collecting money! What gives?

The Salvation Army is awesome.

I was at the store on Veterans day, gave the dollar for the poppy flower and the old WWII guy thanked ME for my service LoL

Never give to United Way

My boss and I had just completed the years books and were thrilled to find we had saved money. I drove excitedly to the UW headquarters to deliver the unspent money. Boy, was I in for a shock. Not only did they reject the check; they told me in the middle of the lobby or rather shouted at me in the middle of the lobby; we would be receiving a lower amount of money the following year. Apparently saving money is not in the budget.
All of the stuff from Target is from China. So is the stuff from Sears.
