My local Publix supermarket allows lots of that on their property, including Salvation Army kettles. I only carry cash around this time of year, so I can put a dollar into every kettle I pass.
It works out to be about twenty dollars, one dollar at a time.
Target does not allow solicitors.
I enjoy that too.
It is a bit of a muddle.
I like community stuff that is sincere and bright.
But one must admit that sometimes non animated folks fronting charity arms are a pain in the wazoo.
I tend to be very accepting if the event makes the community vibrant.
Salvation Army are some of the good guys.
