The dawning realization of what a Ron Paul win in the Iowa caucuses would mean for Republicans, Iowa, and the caucuses has apparently begun to dawn on Iowa Republicans. Politico calls this a Ron Paul panic, but its actually a bit of an existential crisis:

Paul has got to go.
Open primaries/caucuses should go with him.

Yesterday there was a post showing how the Paul camp was actively recruiting Democrats to vote for him.
Considering they don’t have a primary battle to deal with on their own, they are fighting it by trying to crap all over the Republican primary.

So there is something wrong with the process if they don't get to control the outcome.
Tells you a lot.
PS - I am not a Paultard. I just consider the entire caucus/primary process to be corrupt. I say have national runoffs until somebody gets 50% of the vote.

Cut and Run has been spending tons of money slinging mud at Newt. I wonder if he will have enough left to buy the amount of dope it is going to take to keep the potheads there until the voting begins.

No...there's something wrong with the process when it can be gamed by one candidate who actively recruits people hostile to the party in question to vote in that party's caucus for the purpose of distorting the outcome.

Most paulbots were not around in 1979.

Cut and Run could never win an election without the anti-American and dimwit vote.

I'm not a paulbot either, but I can see, in fact to me it is obvious, the more the elitists in the R part and the media promote and elevate RINO’s, the further they push the rebellious to Paul. Their insistence on writing him off, calling him nuts and a kook, saying his climb in the polls means nothing, nor would a win in Iowa, is causing a lot of young people to dig in their heels, determined they will not help to destroy the Constitution or ever vote for a RINO again. So as I see it, the party is thrusting them into Pauls arms so to speak.

I find it interesting that the Hacker group has issued a “warning” that they will hack the primary votes.
That would cause a mess.
I suspect many of the paulistas are just troll bashing candidats since ron paul has no credibility.

Yeah. I know.
But the ‘edit’ function doesn’t work, so I thought I’d just wait until someone ‘corrected’ me to respond.
And actually, no, I wasn’t.
Glad for you if you were.

Whether or not that is true, I feel the R party is thrusting the paulbots toward Paul. Perhaps they should stop promoting big govt. progressives in elections, and nominate conservatives. Then young folks might just come around to a more rational position. That is what gave us McCain.
