Former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain told a conference call of tea party activists on Sunday night that it was the liberal media that forced him out of the 2012 presidential race.
"I am as broken hearted as others about having to pull out," Cain said, "but I couldn't continue to try and run a race when you have a liberal media and others who did not want to see me succeed and to see us succeed constantly fighting false accusations." . . .

You forgot to tell your wife you were supporting another woman. We’re not stupid. Blame YOU...not the media.
To: Sacajaweau
The media wanted to push Gingrich as an alternative to Romney. It’s a win-win for them.

WAAAH! WAAAH! IT'S NOT FAIR!
What? He deserves different treatment than that which every other Republican has gotten for the past several decades.
Poor baby! I guess he was just too stupid to expect his past would be brought out in the most negative manner possible in an effort to stop him.
BTW what killed Cain was his incredible lack of knowledge when it comes to foreign policy and international relations. His peccadilloes merely caught everyone's attention sufficiently to give the the time to examine him more closely.

I like Cain very much, and was officially a volunteer on The Cain Train but the liberal media didn't make him give a bunch of money to some broad behind his wife's back.
That's, and his inability to explain it rationally, was Cain's fault, not "the media."

They just use it when it suits their agenda.
But you go ahead and act all superior and self-righteous, because that's the response state-controlled media wanted.
How does it feel, being such an easily-manipulated dufus?

and why is newt still in the race?
To: TheConservator
Exactly! The details that some here are getting excited over are irrelevant. If not that, the MSM would have found that in kindergarten Herman pulled Suzie’s pigtails.

That's what the liberal media magots do best - they can't write good copy or report fairly - it's not in their DNA. They are sloppy at best and lazy as well as in lock step with the leftists. Morally bankrupt, self loathing communists who will one day rue their political positions on issues. After all, communist countries only need one news network and one newspaper. The loony losers will be in the bread lines with the rest of us.

Good question. I don’t have clue why people fall for that guy either.
To: Burkean Buckleyite
Oh, please, Mr. Cain, have some dignity.

How does it feel, being such an easily- manipulated dufus? You tell us. I have no respect for the intelligence or judgment of anybody that thinks he can seriously run as a Republican with a closet full of sexual indiscretions.
It isn't fair that Dems can get away with what Republicans can't. Life isn't fair. The dufus in question, other than you, is anybody with a discoverable trail of sexual indiscretion, that foists himself on the party. In this Case, Herman Cain.
He should have understood he was ineligible the first time he slipped his honey some cash or got naked with her.
It isn't too much to say as a party that, since there are enough fine people around that haven't cheated on their spouse or had to pay off accusers, thanks but no thanks to those that have. That includes you, Newt.
