Cain and accusers eerily silent. Something wrong here!!! (Vanity)
December 19, 2011 | no dems

Posted on 12/19/2011 5:09:47 AM PST by no dems

Like so many Conservative Americans, I put my hopes into Herman Cain. I thought: "Here's a Conservative Black man who really could defeat Obama." Then, the gales became a "perfect storm". I was devastated but still "believed" in him. "Hang in there Herman; fight this thing and come out stronger than ever." Well.... Herman gave up the fight and threw in the towel, which tells me one of two things:

#1. The guy was not the gutsy fighter I thought he was and let Gloria Allred and some old broads send him running like a scared rabbit. Or.......

#2. The guy was guilty and ran and hid behind God and his wife.

If you're innocent, you stand and fight until hell freezes over. But, Herman drops out of the GOP race for President. His accusers are eerily silent now. Herman is eerily quiet now. I wonder how much "left-over" campaign cash was used to silence his accusers.

I might sound like I'm pissed off, but it's more disappointment than anything. Is there no one that we can vote for who is a person of principle? Where are Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint and Paul Ryan when we really need them?

Perry was not “overruled” by anyone.

You are correct in that it wasn’t just anyone but the Legislature and their action that negated Perry’s EO. There wasn’t a thing he could do about it but accept the legislative action.

Allright, allright! LOL.

Perry pushed for it, I won’t deny it. He strongly believed it was the thing to do. When said and done, he accepted the outcome. He listened to his constituants.

I’d like a President who will act on firmly held beliefs, then back off when voters say no loud and clear.

Sorry to sound like a stuck record, but:

My basic premise is that if one wants that particular office (POTUS) and one bows out due to “impact on one’s family” (which BTW includes not just wives and offspring), then one has ABSOLUTELY NOT ONE IOTA OF BUSINESS running in the first place, because one is basically a COWARD.

Again, if one allows their campaign to be derailed by innuendo, name calling and rumors, then how can we expect such a person to stand up to the REAL THREATS like A-Q, HAAMAS, Muzzie B’hood, John Hinckley etc, etc etc, ALL of whom would be happy to inflict SERIOUS Bodily Harm on ANY POTUS and those close to him/her.

If there is worrisome crap in one’s background, and having seen the extermination process before, why raise false hopes in the population, unless of course the whole thing is very well planned and orchestrated (KGB/Alinsky & company)?

What is that old saying? Something like (expanded after further consideration):

>Once is a random event (Barry Goldwater)
>Twice is a coincidence (Ross Perot)
>Three times kinda implies a trend/plan (Sarah Palin)
>FOUR TIMES pretty much says (at least to me) “THE PLAN IS READY FOR PRIME TIME and will work as expected each time it is implemented” (Herman Cain)

Hence my belief that any CONSERVATIVE OUTSIDER making it to the General POTUS Election is forevermore a wet dream. Look at some recent offerings by the nation’s “CONSERVATIVE” party - BOB DOLE and JOHN McCAIN. Now look at the field we will have to choose from:

ROMNEY, GINGRICH, PERRY, PAUL, BACHMAN, SANTORUM, HUNTSMAN

This cast now consists of people who are either a “lesser of two evils” candidate when compared to Obama or doomed to SERIOUS trouncing by Obama in the General Election.

I think what happens goes something like this:

“Pssst, Hey POTUS Candidate from the outside, you have a choice:
(a) get relentlessly, personally decimated by our media
(b) QUIT and either enjoy a VERY profitable career as a political pundit/author/well paid speaker (Palin & Cain) or just go back to your old pre-campaign existence and fade away into the dust of history (Goldwater & Perot)”

To paraphrase one of the greatest movie script lines of all time:

“TRUTH???? We don’t need no stinkin’ TRUTH!!!!”

I’ve probably been a Texan and a Conservative for more years than you have. I know that Rick Perry is a Christian. My son and daughter-in-law thinks the sun rises and sets in him. But, I don’t need a Pastor, I need a President who knows that the voting age is 18, not 21; who knows that Solyndra is a Manufacturer, not a country and who can remember what he had for breakfast this morning. And, if you’re going to play with the big boys here on FR, I suggest you get some substantive arguments to your posts rather than just sophomoric, idiotic statements like you made about me. Now, you can just bite me!!!

And now FR is throwing their support behind a RINO.

Back that statement up with some FR screen names. Tell us who on FR is throwing their support behind a RINO. I’m sure Jim Robinson would be glad to know.

To: Nifster; Sacajaweau

You know what Nifster, you’re blaming other people on here, like Sacajaweau and me, for Herman Cain dropping out. You need to lay down the friggin’ crack pipe. We’re not the ones who paid money to a whore behind our wife’s back and hit on other women. That’s the problem with so many people; they don’t take responsibility for their actions. It’s easier to play the race card, and Herman Cain is a prime example. And people like you, assist people like him in continuing their whoredoms. This sure seems to be a sore point with you. How many times have you cheated on your spouse?

I know that, but I was speaking of politicians in general. And, had he been elected, we would have paid his salary.

Perry just did what so few politicians do these days: Listened to his constituents and respected their vote.

The only source that has been cited for Cain’s grandchildren receiving death threats is friggin’ Facebook. Were that true, it would have been all over the media and/or Conservative radio talk shows. Facebook????? Come on!!! If you people can’t do better than that, then sit on the damn bench.

I was listening to his speech as he made it on the day he said he would announce his future intentions..

He spoke those words near to the end of his suspension of his campaign.

He said “I was coming to say I was continuing my campaign, but I had a call telling me my grand children's lives have been threatened.~”
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(Don't take my word for it ...)
The problem is the medias cut up or omit sections for replay; that do not follow their agenda in all speeches, utubes etc.
I know what I sat and watched and listened to and it was his entire announcement. I was there waiting for him and sat there until he left the stage. ..
And Cain said he would support another candidate and will announce his choice of support to the medias ... I heard his entire speech.
so forget telling me it isn't so...
I had to go back to page 1 to even find what I posted to you.
Sorry it got your knickers in a knot. I don’t think it was that bad as your post did sound like a liberal.
But you got back at me, all right.
I mean, ‘Bite Me’ is really clever.
Don't look for him to quietly fade away:
Cain told the activists that he’s “not done yet” and he’ll announce an initiative in January to continue “doing what you’ve been doing for years.” “As one of the original tea party people in this movement, I want you to know I’m going to continue to be out there fighting with you,” he said, “so stay tuned for some exciting things I have up my sleeve”
It sounds like there may be some fight left yet.
