Gee, aren’t we glad that as a society we’ve stupidly believed for years that teachers are worthy of being a protected class and blindly let them now, as a profession, make twice what the average private sector worker makes for what is more or less a part time job?

Just thinking. Could it be all the “sickology” teachers have to take as part of their teacher education or is it just not enough screening before they get teaching jobs or is it that they project themselves into the teenage mentality which develops into these situations.
Its probably a little of both. Majoring in education is probably as low on the motivation scale as one can get, except maybe for journalism. So it probably attracts slackers and those with arrested development. There is also the fact that teaching is an automatic membership into the government club of unions, tenure and automatic raises with little chance of termination, even for egregious behavior.
If you are a pervert/weirdo you go where the kids are. Its a terrible shame because I believe most people are decent and would never do anything like this.
Otherwise, I agree that anyone who can should GET YOUR KIDS OUT OF PUBLIC SCHOOL!

Happens all the time. For every news item like this one, there are a hundred similar incidents that are never heard about. This is the tip 'o the iceberg, especially in the government schools.
Nothing THAT rugged needed. A wimp like that could probably be “dehorned” with a little pair of cuticle scissors like the girls use!
