The Talk Shows
December 18th, 2011
Guests to be interviewed today on major television talk shows:
FOX NEWS SUNDAY (Fox Network): 2012 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney.
MEET THE PRESS (NBC): 2012 GOP presidential candidate Michele Bachmann; House Speaker John Boehner, R-Ohio; Gov. Nikki Haley, R-S.C.
FACE THE NATION (CBS): 2012 GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich.
THIS WEEK (ABC): Reps. Barney Frank, D-Mass., and Paul Ryan, R-Wis.
STATE OF THE UNION (CNN): 2012 GOP presidential candidate Jon Huntsman; Sens. Roy Blunt, R-Mo., and Robert Menendez, D-N.J.
Woof! Romney just said that he would want to see specfics on those who want to cut a trillion dollars from the budget to make sure it would not hurt the economy! Right out of the left-wing playbook.
Wallace links Romney to Obama on one issue
(and looks up into space, suggesting this was all set up in advance).
Romney responds with the prepared "answers".
Questions on the real issues seem unlikely today since
these were prepared to show how "smart" bad gov Romney is
and to attack Speaker Gingrich (more than twice by Wallace).
FLASHBACK (ignored by RomneyBOTs at FOX "News").
"As U.S. real output grew 13 percent between 2002 and 2006, Massachusetts trailed at 9 percent.
* Manufacturing employment fell 7 percent nationwide those years, but sank 14 percent under Romney, placing Massachusetts 48th among the states.
* Between fall 2003 and autumn 2006, U.S. job growth averaged 5.4 percent, nearly three times Massachusetts' anemic 1.9 percent pace.
* While 8 million Americans over age 16 found work between 2002 and 2006, the number of employed Massachusetts residents actually declined by 8,500 during those years.
"Massachusetts was the only state to have failed to post any gain in its pool of employed residents," professors Sum and McLaughlin concluded.
In an April 2003 meeting with the Massachusetts congressional delegation in Washington, Romney failed to endorse President Bush's $726 billion tax-cut proposal."
Shieffer is a disgrace. He’ll be set to try to make Newt explode....LOL.
Boehner is handling apeface Gregory.
Not giving David any points on the economy and the drop in the unemployment: workforce has declined!
Number of peeps looking for jobs had dropped. Correct!
It does appear Mitt had an oil change for his hair before the interview.
Romney sucks on ice. I’d rather watch fish swim. This guy is gonna beat Obama?
Ha ha Wallace had to remind him to go after Obama.
Mitt is bombing in this interview. He comes across as a career politician and says nothing about anything. He has no core beliefs and will be exposed by the liberal attack machine.
Merry Christmas
The ineligible RINO Mitt Romney:
"I bet you $10,000 that my pimp and flack Chris Wallace
will simply ignore both what I do today
and my support of Human-caused Global Warming
-- even while YOU rot in jail.
Boehner did well when addressing the economy.
Now playing the McCain interview for Boehner.
He comes the Newt question. Is he fit to serve?
Boehner dodges. I know Newt well. We’ve been friends for years.
Boehner says Newt is conservative.
"Thats why in a productive society you have new invention coming along..." - what a tool.
Actually, although Wallace did have his friendly face on instead of the sneer he used with Perry, he did not, himself call Newt zany.
Rather, he said to Mitt, “You’ve called Gingrich zany and so on ...” which gave Mitt the chance to explain how Newt wants to bounce light off of satellites to light the streets, etc.
I never heard that particular idea but Newt does have flights of fancy. That’s not entirely a bad thing as long as he stays focused on important stuff and doesn’t dream about taking role electronically when he should be fighting Obamacare.
I left after that.
Chrissy Wallace better use protection when he gets all hot and bothered with his loverman Mitt.
Wallace has truly held back his punches so far.
UGH. I don’t receive that sorry show till the top of next hour. Watching MTP now.
Perry is better off on the ground in Iowa than wasting time with these 'gotcha' media whores...
Did George Bush Sr dress Mitt this morning? He is beginning to sound like him. We need gummit programs to retrain people for new jobs? How about the free market?
Merry Christmas
Even with a friendly questioner, Mitt came across as bland and passionless. I do not see a person who wants to change government much at all.
Now Wallace is finally bringing up the individual mandate in Romneycare - and asks Mitt if the individual mandate is a good idea for other states. A softball.
You have to be at leaset a bishop to get the hat, man. We Catholics don’t get ‘em without all the work, toil, and effort to do so! 20-30 years through the ranks, no wife, no family except your parish, and if you’re called, then you get the hat. And a lot more toil and effort as bishop.
thanks AB...
great read Bray!
“This election season we are witnessing the pure corruption of our reporters as they march lockstep in their absolute disgust of any candidate who strays off their tracks.”
Well put..succinct and to the point!
it’s called softball when the host has his hands on your nuts
