I once saw this list of famous gays.

Some that come to mind were
Alexander the Great
Alexander Hamilton
Peter Tschaikovsky
(and many more)

I seem to recall this was making the rounds when either San Francisco (San Fransicko to Michael Savage fans) or the great state of California passed a law to include orientation in history classes. It was something along the lines of making students aware that some of society’s greatest contributions came from gays.

I see I am once more going to have to point out that Alexander the Great had a number of short term mistresses along with a long term mistress and three wives.

He was not gay. At the most he was bi but even that is doubtful and does not come from any contemporary source the first reference seems to have come from people who disliked him about 100 years after his death.
