A gunman with a rifle opened fire at a Southern California Edison office in Irwindale on Friday, killing two employees and wounding two others before taking his own life.
One of the victims died at the scene and the other died on the way to the hospital. The conditions of the two other victims were not immediately available, said Capt. Michael Taylor of the Baldwin Park Police Department,
A source said the gunman was also an employee at the Edison building who worked as as systems analyst. His name was not released.
At least some of the victims were supervisors at Edison.

Edison employee obviously pissed off about the ban on incandescent light bulbs.......
Bet they have a policy of no concealed carry in the workplace because they are dangerous.
These incidents seem to be on the rise.

In this state, you have to be well connected politically, wealthy, and or a wealthy local contributing business owner to be given this right. They could care less about the safety of the law abiding tax paying lower class.

Pretty much depends on which county you reside. In sacramento co, it is becoming quite easy and fair to obtain a ccw. Self defense is now an acceptable reason on the application. The numbers are going up, and not linear.

There was a time when losing your job was a temporary setback. These days, if you are a man of a certain age, that pink slip marks a devastating end to your employment history. The financial comfort you knew is gone and there's no bouncing back.
Not saying that's what happened here and certainly not trying to justify any form of workplace violence, nonetheless, there's a lot of people out there facing some hard futures.
