Boy Scout Explorer Ping

Courageous young lady.

Technically, thanks to the ACLU, it's a Learning For Life Explorer Ping . . . and the reason we have Venturing today.

We had government agencies and fire stations sponsoring and assisting Law Enforcement Career Explorer Posts and Fire Service Career Explorer Posts . . . and the ACLU said the BSA's requirement of belief in a Supreme Being violated the separation of church and state when police departments and fire departments got involved.

Unfortunately, the ACLU won all of those lawsuits, unlike God, Gays, and Girls in Boy and Cub Scouting. So Exploring was moved out of the BSA into Learning for Life, and Venturing replaced Exploring as the BSA's coed program, ages 14-21. Still a great program, but Explorer's aren't allowed to express Duty to God, or to have Reverence as part of their oath, law, or creed.

Thanks ACLU! Just another of the reasons you don't see a dime from me.
