There are fewer jobs now, therefore there are fewer jobs to be laid off from.

The number of people filing for unemployment benefits fell last week to the lowest since May 2008, a sign that the waves of corporate layoffs that have defined the past few years are all but over.Could it be that they've fallen off the rolls? Maybe their U/I ran out? Naaaaah, couldn't be ...It's Hussein's masterful handling of the economy.

The job market is healthier than at any time since the end of the Great Recession?
WHAT? Am I missing something here? Is ABC claiming this is the healthiest job market in nearly 70 years?
Well, we are nearly in an election year, so prepare yourselves FReepers, because happy days are here again!

Yes of course. The job participation rate is plunging. Along with average incomes. Pretty soon there will be all the $15,000/year jobs anyone could want.

You just say that it has obviously happened because the GOP took Congress, so there’s greater optimism for hiring!

The number of people filing for unemployment benefits fell last week to the lowest since May 2008,...Why does that even mean anything? So what? People aren't filing, but how is the actual unemployment level?? More propaganda from the Left. Another non-story.
