Q. How do you know when MSNBC has sunk to unimaginable depths of Dem-partisan hackery?
A. When even Al Sharpton renounces it.
On his MSNBC show this evening, Sharpton said the network was right to apologize for the smear MSNBC host Thomas Roberts perpetrated againt Mitt Romney earlier in the day, when Roberts claimed Romney had borrowed a campaign slogan from the Ku Klux Klan.

MSNBC sank so slow with Klan smear of Romney, even Sharpton says that were right to apologize. Ping to Today show list.
So now we have Sharptongue agreeing with Matthews. Curious what Joe will say tomorrow, if anything.
A. When even Al Sharpton renounces it.
I cannot imagine them expressing similar regrets were it any of the other republicans similarly smeared. Hell, they say worse about republicans & conservatives every day.
Note tagline.
OK, what is going on here? A PMSNBC host practically calls Romney a Klansman, Tingles apologizes, and Sharpton not only misses the opportunity to pile on, but rebukes the comparison? Either I woke up in Bizarro World this morning, or PMSNBC wants Romney for the Pubbie nominee and someone missed the memo.
They didn’t sink low, they hit too close to home with the dem KKK club. The KKK is the same as democrats and they would have taken some big return fire. The bosses told sharpton, matthews etc to back off quick.
I have to ask just what is it about the Klan that MSNBC wants to emulate?
I bet Thomas Roberts was quietly promoted.
If you’re wondering if it is a question of “journalistic ethics”, don’t. It was a fake ad NOT produced or paid for by the Romney campaign.
It was journalistic malpractice which undoubtedly provoked a stern phone call from Romney’s lawyers.
They dont have to look very far, they had robert KKK byrd for years on their team.
It WILL NOT WORK. The Libs are desperate to get traction for Romney and Ron Paul as they know conservatives won't vote for them which then gives zero better odds. Free Republic will NEVER support Romney or Ron Paul. The Liberal Media knows this which is why they attempt to give the impression that both Romney and Paul are mainstream.
Fortunately, Newt continues to rise as the front runner. And Ann Coulter is a douche. For her to say Romney is more conservative than Newt is blatant disgusting behavior. Ann Coulter is very good friends with Matt Drudge. Matt Drudge also always highlights Peggy Newnan’s anti-Conservative articles. Ann hates Newt because they were coworkers at Fox News and she can't handle that someone she used to see in the Green Room has leap frogged over the fake losers in the Belt Way and has become very relatable to the Tea Party. ANN COULTER needs to SHUT IT.
And the party of gun control. Don’t forget that one too.
"Reject We Much!"
They’re just trying to get Romney the sympathy vote to boost his numbers. They know what they’re doing.
LOL!
This was probably a setup so that tomorrow the President will denounce the comments and insist on civility.
The fool who made the comment will be place on Obama’s reelection campaign.
As head of Media Relations.
Blatant Psychological warfare. The liberal operatives are always about political strategy being cunning against their so called political enemy, and never about being down to earth and honest. While they may know what they are doing... it is already backfiring.
Romney just needs to accept the FACT they he will NEVER be the REPUBLICAN Nominee for 2012. That is a FACT. PERIOD.
Message to Ann Coulter. YOU LOSE. Romney is OUT. He will never be the nominee and Ann Coulter loses Cred for supporting such a loser as Romney.
Fortunately, her friend Matt Drudge sees through Romney’s weirdness and doesn’t give her very much space on his much visited website. Ann Coulter is a mess and has issues. NO WAY should she be supporting Mitt Romney. SHE IS LOST and needs to admit she is a closet Lib.
I’m thinking it’s all easily explained by a single word: lawsuit. CNN had to settle with folks over the “Operation Tailwind” story (if I recall the name correctly) and run days long disclaimers/apologies. Big name heads rolled. MSNBC is nowhere near as big as CNN was back then (nor, for that matter, is CNN).
