Lots of news stories today about how the race to win Iowa is still wide open. The New York Times Nate Silver takes a whirl through the polling data and says any of five candidates could plausibly win. And Politicos Maggie Haberman reports that internal poll numbers from the Mitt Romney and Rick Perry camps show Newt Gingrichs lead in Iowa is indeed slipping.
Interestingly, she also quotes a veteran GOP caucus-watcher as saying:
Watch Rick Perry. Hes going for a top three finish, and that could be to Romneys expense.
Weve found ourselves wondering about Perry, whos kicking off a 42-city Iowa bus tour today. Notably, two recent Iowa polls have shown a slight uptick in Perrys support. In particular, an American Research Group (ARG) poll released yesterday (Tuesday) showed him gaining 8 points...
...And despite some intense Internet mockery, Perrys Strong ad - where he criticizes the fact that gay soldiers can serve openly in the military while children cant celebrate Christmas in school - may be generating some traction in the state.
In particular, Decoder is now wondering if the ads appeal was actually two-fold - going beyond Christian conservatives to another potentially powerful voting bloc: veterans...

How funny, ah well, we’re keeping it ‘in the family’ so to speak, lol.
Thanks Allegra, I didn’t even know about the youtube!
What zero’s saying in that photo is ‘now, now, there’s a way we can work this out..’
Negative, Loser!
Thanks Allegra, I didn’t even know about the youtube!
lol!
It's the only way! :-D
Here is why you are wrong. Perry had a Laminectomy (Spinal Fusion) just before he entered the race. In those earlier debates the only thing on Perry's mind was how much pain he was in and how long he had to stand there.
Debating Obama, I don't know why everyone thinks that will be hard. Every time Obama talks about his policy the Republican is going to respond, "how did that work out for Americans?"
Obama is toast, We could send Perry's dog to the debates and he will be better than Obama. What is he going to say? He killed Osama? No he didn't, Seal Team 6 killed him using intel gained by the Bush administration. He can't run on his record, he can't run on the economy and he can't run on National Security, he gave a classified drone to Iran, China and Russia. What's left?
“He comes across as the dumbest hayseed hick in the world.
So maybe he is not dumb, but he looks and sounds dumb.”
You know a computer is owned by a West Virginian if...
The mouse is referred to as a “critter.”
The keyboard is camouflaged.
There is a Skoal can in the CD-ROM drive.
There is a gunrack mounted on the CPU.
The password is, “bubba.”
The numeric keypad only goes up to six.
Outgoing faxes have beer stains on them.
The printer goes really slow since Bubba don’t read too fast.
The extra RAM slots have Dodge truck parts installed in them.
The menus all have Budweiser, Black Label, and Old Milwaukee options.
Jeff Foxworthy *.wavs.
The monitor is up on blocks.
Seven blue tick hounds under the desk.
Deer jerky is in the desk drawer.
The screen saver consists of pictures of Ned Beatty with dueling banjos playing in the background.
The six front keys have rotted out.
John Deer Pocket Protectors .....
On the other hand, you may know what you’re talking about.
Lol!
Perry has my vote in the FL primary!
Absolutely!!! :o)
.
- Rick Perry looks much more relaxed now
.
We are supposed to have a Harvard grad in OUR house now, how’s
That workin out for everyone. I think the general public will like the
simplicity of Perry. I think he has come out of his comfort zone and I
believe he is a fighter to be reckoned with. The national political scene
Is a toilet but I do think Perry is strong enough not to get flushed.

That’s Great!
Perry got a nice boost from Rush Limbaugh tonight on Greta’s show ! Go Perry !
You’re quote is mixed up, but I think Perry’s ad is outstanding and most people are sick of PC.
I agree that he seems more relaxed. He had his big overblown messups and he dealt with them in a smiling and joking way. Shoot, if he had been doing this a long time like Romney, he would be really great!
Now, I hope this will post........once.....lol.
Confrontation or friendly greeting?
Where are the ones of Obama?
