No one could have known that when a Tunisian fruit vendor set himself on fire in a public square, it would incite protests that would topple dictators and start a global wave of dissent. In 2011, protesters didnt just voice their complaints; they changed the world.

To include OWS protesters is absurd. They haven’t changed anything, nor will they.

This is stupid. I'm sick of stupid things in this country.
The OWSers are disgusting freeloaders and that's what this idiot magazine honors? As brilliant as giving Biggie O a Nobel prize for thinking!

Time continues its long and steep slide into irrelevance. I must have missed them making Tea Partiers “People of the Year” for causing REAL change in the dynamics of American government in 2010.

SEIU-organized protests overthrew America-friendly dictators.
There, fixed it for the anti-American media machine.

This is stupid.
It's beyond stupid. I wonder how many meetings and discussions Time Mag had to come up with such a profound statement. /sarc
What a waste of paper.

TIME magazine needs to disappear along with the rest of the irrevelant media that thinks so highly of its “liberated” self.

Yet another cop out by Time Magazine. Almost as bad as the time they names “you” Man of the Year. I’m still waiting for some prize money or something for the first one. I protested (tea party) last year, but I won’t wait for Time to recognize me after that last disappointment.
To: John W
Can’t wait for someone to photoshop the Time cover to feature “The Protester at the Police Car”.
Not that Time isn’t a piece of crap all on its own, mind you.

Looking back to the 2010 page it was Mark Zuckerberg with runners up Julian Assange, Hamid Karzai and The Chilean Miners. Didn’t see a mention of The Tea Party on the page.
