I understand. I don’t know if we will ever have an opportunity to go back, but the memories remain a treasure.
We liked Maui, but we liked Kauai a lot, too. Great beaches everywhere. We enjoyed the south side—including Waimea Canyon and other sites. (We also saw a Hawaiian Monk Seal at Salt Pond State Park.)
But we thought that the real jewel was the North Shore of Kauai—the wildlife refuge and lighthouse, Hanalei Bay, the Napali Coast, the ‘’Bali Hai’’ scenery, the backdrop of Mount Waialeale and the taro fields, the Green Church, etc., etc. Good memories.

I visited New Zealand once...I would love to go back.

This is an easy question... British Virgin Islands. Any or all of them. On a sailboat. Psst! Don’t pass that along.

My brother bought a sailboat in St Maarten last year and will be living on it. He still works up here on the North Slope.

I like the watery ends of the earth.
Yes, things are still on track, but moving slow.

It’s a fairly well known resort along 7 Mile Beach in Negril, Jamaica. We’ve been there 3 times and we will go back again.

We've escaped the dreary cold of Seattle by hoping a flight to Oahu or the Big Island the last few years. We wanted to go to Maui this year, but then figured out that it would cost us $5,000 to stay in a nice place.
So, we booked a condo in Palm Desert, CA. We depart on Saturday. Yey. We will go hiking and enjoy the sun.

Your Ideal Vacation is Prince Edward Island |
On an island vacation, you'd really like to immerse yourself and get to know the locals. You enjoy the idea of spending time in a small, remote locale... especially a beautiful one.
Whether you're sipping tea or enjoying the beautiful countryside, Prince Edward Island is perfect for you. It's so authentic and homey, you won't mind that you're not in the tropics. |
