Those . . . look really good.
I was just finishing a nice dark roast French press . . . .
Then that photo. My eyes are tearing up with wistful longing.
LOL - Romney won’t colonize the moon. Now there is an admirable stance LOL
Please go to Newt’s website and donate what you can. I did that today and will keep doing it until he is president.
Not really. With Mittens, you really don't know who or what you are getting. He will say anything to get elected and will come down firmly on both sides of the fence.
You are technically correct- however, in popular usage, Representatives in the House are frequently referred to as Congressmen by almost everyone. I understand the confusion.
Actually, around here, we call them CONGRESS -CRITTERS ~ when we feel like being polite.
No confustion! All are corrupt these days!
Take your pick of politician and tell me that they are or have not been corrupt in the past? Yes, we are going to end this and it will not be pretty...
Red dog... your may be naive or young (not sure which) but if you actually think that politics are about beliefs and actions then you have a lot to learn.
Good luck to all of you young and naive folks!
I think that everyone that knows him will agree that Ron Paul is the most honest man in the House. A lunatic on foreign policy, yes. There are undoubtedly others- Cornyn, Coburn, DeMint? They’re not all crooks.
Surprise! Don’t disagree at all... Yes, most of them are also crooks - take advantage of rules that we peasants do not have access to. Fact of life.
question: Why to Congressmen and Senators enter public life poor and leave rich?
Not capable according to the rules - right?
Don’t know- my congressman, Michael McCaul entered congress rich. And he is a great congress-critter.
Might be right - but the odds are against you! You just have not the knowledge or time to understand what they are up to... Now, I could be wrong, but it would have to be a very low percentage...
Ah... another rich fellow entering politics! Why? Do you really thing that their answer is “just to promote the public good”? Of course not! They are in it for more money or more power! If you really think different, just follow them for a few years and you will be dissuaded and disappointed.
The good thing is that this is the norm so you can NOT be condemned for thinking different...
Ron Paul: He always blames america
First.
It is said he loads up spending bills with earmarks and pork for his district, then votes against them when he knows they will pass,so he can put on his mantle of “Purity”.
I’m NOT a Paulista- it’s just that I’ve heard that he has a reputation for total honesty. But he is a lune on foreign policy.
Can you compare / contrast the foreign policy of Paul to the other candidates and provide examples of how their policies are Constitutional and Paul's is not (or vice-versa)?
Perhaps it'd be easier to just point out HOW wacked Paul is with respect to the Constition in general?
This boils down to opinion and feelings of talking heads, bloggers and participants in the discussion forums; the Constitution itself has NOTHING to do with this whatsoever.
And exactly where did I say any of his foreign policies were non-Constitutional?
But, if you were addressing me, I will give you very high marks on arrogance, pomposity and an overinflated sense of personal adequacy!
Didn’t think you were. I was just pointing out something basically dishonest I’ve read around these parts about him.
