So we got one guy who can win the primary but not the election. And we’ve got another guy who can win the election, but not the primary.

Beam me up, Scotty.

Could be that Romney is not only moderate but liberal! Why do you think that the media loves him compared to others.

Neither Newt nor Romney should be considered but between the Belt-way Republicans and the Media, we have selected our candidate! You’ve got to be kidding!

Neither is worthy of our vote! We have some good candidates running and we listen to the media? Sometimes I think that we should just give up and re-elect Obama just to show the country the extent of his ignorant progressive philosophy. Sometimes it takes failure and pain to change the minds of the sheep!

Hey network a-holes, y’know there’s another prominent politician, this one in high office, who’s struggling with the general electorate, too.

By comparison, 53 percent of them view Romney as a moderate, 29 percent see him as a conservative and 11 percent believe he’s a liberal.

I help with 6th grade math home work every night and am very good at addition and I surmise that 82% of the people just aren't paying attention. Romney is neither a "moderate" nor a "conservative", he's a dyed in the wool liberal, appearing to tack to the right to accomplish his purpose of becoming president.

My great hope is that after getting a royal ass kicking in Iowa, that he also loses in New Hampshire and then we will finally be rid of his sorry ass.......until 4 years from now, when he runs again.

This story is already behind the times. A poll out today shows Newt ahead of Obama in the key swing states.

Interestingly, another poll showed Newt only slightly less strong than Romney against The One, but still beating him in all 12 swing states.

Newt’s electability is a lot more fluid, and I think he has a stronger ability to win over non-supporters than Mittens. I mean, look at FR! He won a lot of us over these last few month.

We are going to have a brokered convention. Aint no doubt about it.

We could see a third candidate enter the race and get the nomination.

God- i don't like Romney but i CANNOT, CANNOT, CANNOT bear the possibility of that POS staying in the WH another four years...

Sarah Palin had it correct months ago- Romney needs to embrace the Tea Party....

(Example methodology for this chart will be on my profile page)

Much like what the government does with unemployment statistics, this chart represents a 4-poll "rolling average" for the latest 20+ polls listed at RealClearPolitics.com (plus other recent national polls).

I also weighted the polls by their size. For example, a poll with a survey size of 1000 was weighted proportionately heavier than an 324 survey size.

I have my reservations about Gingrich in the electability department (how often has any house speaker gotten elected president vs how often has a house speaker been forced to resign?), but there should be no doubt the press is going to see an intractable dilemma for Republicans no matter who they nominate.

People love the media getting their heads handed to them by Newt Gingrich. Others even started copying his style and it’s becoming dangerous to have guest on a show now.

Newt relayed that he’d like to have John Bolton on his team as Sec Def or Sec State. That tells me where Newt stands on foreign policy.

I’m still listening and following but I have to admit I love the way he talked about the Palistinians. I’ve been waiting years for a leader to say that.

I’m betting the economy will tank more over the next ten months, Newt will clean Zero’s clock in the debates, and he’ll run away with the general.

Screw the Obama vs Romney and Obama vs Newt polls. They mean nothing right now. Once the country knows who the Republican candidate is, the election will be about one thing only: Barack “Barry” Hussien Obama-Dunham-Soetero-Obama.

By the way, Real Clear Politics (of CHICAGO) did another disgusting thing today to try to help their boy, Romney.

They HAD been holding onto one VERY OLD poll (CNN) for 23 days because that poll came out much more pro-Romney and lower for Gingrich than most.
Poll Date Sample Gingr. Romney
RasmussenRepts	11/30 - 11/30	1000 LV 38	17
CNN/Opinion.Res	11/18 - 11/20	402 A 24	20

They kept the CNN poll for 23 days, but today, they eliminated that one PLUS RASMUSSEN which is still only 13 days old today.

They SHOULD be consistent, and honest, and keep Rasmussen in their 'averages' for the same amount of time! (23 days).

But if they did that: Gingrich would be at 35.6 in their RCP Average, Romney would be at 21.2 in their RCP Average,
and the spread would be Gingrich +14.4.

Romney's fundraising would soon dry up, and RCP knows it!

What I want to know is why did Romney think that capitalism was good enough for him but socialism was good enough for Massachusetts via RomneyCare.

I was going to comment, then I read 5 letters M S N B C.

The Liberal media wants to pick our candidate. Let conservatives pick the DNC candidate. We can pick one who can’t possibly win.

Find a radical America and freedom hating Statist who has never had a real job or even have been a mayor. He’d never win...oh wait.

If Donald Trump does run for ‘12 POTUS as an Independent, then the final ‘12 GOP POTUS choice would have difficulty winning the ‘12 general election. If the major ‘12 POTUS choices are between, just, the “D” and the “R”, then the GOP will have a much better chance of winning the general election, even if the “D” ends up not being Obama.

My major concern with Newt is how to be sure that he will be a “small government conservative” and not a “big government conservative”, if/when Newt is POTUS.
