DES MOINES, Iowa If Iowa voters are going to give Gov. Rick Perry the second look he wants, there's not much time for browsing.
With just three weeks before the Jan. 3 Iowa caucuses, the governor is embarking on an old-fashioned bus tour through the Hawkeye State, hoping his natural ability to connect with voters will keep his struggling campaign alive.
Perry has scheduled nearly 50 events between Wednesday and Jan. 2. By the time the tour ends, he will have visited some 42 towns and cities.
Being on a bus in a state like Iowa, it just allows us to get to more stops and more places. It allows people driving down the road in Iowa to honk and wave, said Perry campaign manager Rob Johnson. Theres an excitement and an energy. Were excited about the next couple of weeks.

The day after Pete was killed, I was sitting at the dining room table with Hardtail, just trying to make sense of all that was going on.
My cell phone rang. "Unknown" said the caller ID.
Thought about letting it pass, but I answered it.
"Alan, this is Rick Perry."
..
Maybe Perry will tour the country of Solyndra.
Just say NO to La Raza Rick and his racist, leftist Democrat judicial appointees like Xavier Rodriguez.
Oooops!
Can you explain to me why endless spam for this thoroughly discredited mushmouthed RINO buffoon, who is nearly dead last in the polls, is being posted on our website ? You’d think the other thousands of crap threads reposted with the same crap links and cheesecake Perry porn would’ve been enough.
I don’t mind myself.
It’s good that somebody is keeping track of Perry’s campaign, so they can post daily articles on it.
Somebody should be doing the same for the other Republican candidates.
It makes it an easy way to keep up on them.
Do you own FreeRepublic? Is it your decision what gets to be posted here? If not stop hasseling CW and go post your own threads.
By the way do you know it was just announced Texas will have a 1.6 billion dollar surplus by the next Congressional assembly?
This "discredited, mushmouthed RiNO" as you call him forced spending cuts last session (and Texas Congress meets only 140 days every 2 years) is in multiple lawsuits with the Obama administration over Federal overreach and now we see we're gonna have a 1.6 billion dollar surplus.
The latest ARG poll had Perry at 13% in Iowa up from 5% in November.
Newt has no money buddy. None. It's Mitt or Perry, you just don't know it yet.
It's guys like you who run people off because they may not be in love with your latest candidate you've jumped into bed with, or, let me guess, you were always for Newt. Not everyone runs from front runner to front runner, they back the candidate they agree with most and stick with them until they actually lose to the voters.
Bite me.
You can bite me, too, Normy.
There’s a news flash. Here’s another, Dr. Demento is leading La Raza Rick in the polls. That’s how pathetic Ricky is. A senile moonbat who hates Israel is leading Perry. Can you say, “Epic fail” ?
What are they going to do with the money?
Just say NO to La Raza Rick and his racist, leftist Democrat judicial appointees like Xavier Rodriguez.
Okay! NO!
It’s hard to keep the Perry articles in view on FR as the mod keep removing the designated topics that allow them on the side bar.
