Poor Ma!
You need a new transmission, too?
Mike is putting one in Moxie tomorrow.
I drove the Sirocco today.
I forgot was a bada$$ that little car is.
Wooo!

OK, I'll go with that but I never stand in line when they are distributing flu shots 'cause a fraction of those who are already infected are there for a quick fix for whatever ails them in the first place. Rule of thumb.
I feel better knowing you feel better.

I made a big pot of “Fire Medicine Soup”, which is a hearty chicken soup with lots of garlic and hot peppers in it.
Really good soup!
It did wonders!

This is true.
If I had displayed ANY symptoms, such as a head cold, I would never have taken the shot.
This was offered to us free at work, so there really was no standing in line.
It was just bad, all the way around.

You have been having automotive hell.
Glad you didn’t have to drive all the way home without wipers.

It did!
That soup was about all I could get down.
I coughed so hard, I sprung some ribs!
It’s awful being felled by something you can’t even see!

Wow, what a day for you!
I was just wondering to myself this afternoon how the little pick-up was behaving after your transmission problem.
I’m glad you had the kind of luck you did today.

The main roads are plowed, but getting out of and into the neighborhoods is interesting. This winter has been interesting so far. LOL!

Thanks, HJ...we will see if the time has come to retire the 1984 S10 Blazer. It has performed well for a long time. I’m kinda hoping that it is a relatively easy fix, and then I can start looking in earnest, instead of an emergency purchase.
My mechanic will help me. He said to start looking on Craig’s List...Toyota Rav4, Honda CRV, and Subaru Forester, in that order. And any is subject to passing his checkup.

Dawn just bought a Subaru Forrester, and she just loves it!
Maybe you should look at one, Ma!
Hope all your car problems pan out okay!

I’m off to me bedchamber!

Good evening, Taz...((HUGS)) How is your day going? Has your rain stopped? And I seem to remember sump pump/basement issues...all is well this winter? No flooding?

Your mechanic sounds like a good one...I’d take his advice.
I don’t know if you can make it happen, but the soldiers should have a ‘for sale by owner’ lot on post where you might be able to find a RAV4. Maybe some of your vet friends could help out with that...?
