Perry was for the individual mandate for teenage girls.

There was an opt out on the Gardasil issue.

And there was no "individual mandate" involved. Nobody was being forced to pay for something they did not want.

Totally different situations. Thus, no hypocrisy involved.

If you want to knock Perry, you're free to do so. But please get it right -- if you want any credibility.

The taxpayers were going to have to cover the cost for those who couldn't afford it. That's definitely being "forced to pay for something they did not want" since Perry didn't feel the need to discuss it with the taxpayers or the legislation.

Perry wouldn't have had any problems over Gardasil if he had discussed it with parents and the legislature before signing the EO.
