Children watch “Glee” also, but what does that prove?
A family event refers to content.
I guess they can stay in all day playing video games..but wait! Aren't many of those not "family friendly"?
“Its a family event if children are watching it, and they are.”
It is not a family event, but rather an event to encourage those between the ages of 18 and 49 to watch the commercials during the game and halftime show.
The commericials are designed to sell products to that 18-49 key demographic and not kids as kids do not earn money.
“Here’s who they need to have at the halftime performing:”
While the WVU Marching Band may be interesting to some, it does not add as much value to the NFL product as does Madonna.
Therefore, the network and the NFL can sell advertising at a much higher price with Madonna at halftime than they could with a marching band.
You see, it is a massive profit conspiracy between the NFL and the TV network.
Your family may not watch football, but millions and millions of families around the world do. This choice of Madonna and the Cirque de Soleil group is unacceptable.
This is really dumb. Even if she stays within the limits, asking Madonna to do a Superbowl show just doesn’t make sense. Her whole career has been based on blasphemous confrontations—beginning with her name.
It’s like NASCAR inviting Bam and Michelle to kick off a race. Good way to alienate their fans.
It would appear that the guys who are writing the $3,000,0000.00 checks for their 30 second ads to be aired during the Super Bowl do not believe that Madonna and the Cirque de Soleil are unacceptable.
However, if for a future Super Bowl, if you want to influence the content of the halftime show, you can write nine or ten three million dollar checks and the people at the NFL will listen to you. .
Shame the NFL can’t have a halftime show that doesn’t star trashy has beens.
ugh, I won’t be watching it.
Personally, I’m not going to be in the same room as a
football game. I have no TV, and we’re not a big football
family, and I don’t frequent bars, so it’s no big vow.
Half-time game or not.
Nope. I’m mocking grown men who act like morons in order to give the appearance of their being politically correct while beating each other’s brains out over a little ball.
Like it or not, that's what it has become. No, I wouldn't let my children watch this abominable display nowadays. The commercials are bad enough in themselves.
The fact that many, even conservatives, do not recognize this speaks to the deplorable depths to which we've sunk in our thinking.
BAHAHA!!! Now that was funny.
Thanks for my laugh of the day.
I thought that Tom Petty had a great half time show. No dancers, just a bunch of songs that you knew, could understand, and the sound was crystal clear.
I’ve never been much of a Tom Petty fan but I have to admit it was a pretty good show.
