Thank you, for posting the links on Newt. He has a character problem. He will not be other than who he has been.

God help us. He is smart and he might be okay as an consultant. He scares me. He is a narcissist. He stands for himself, just as Obama does.

Peggy has a crush on him - I admit I like his pretty white hair, too - but fears that he’s just a bit too masculine and decisive for her to feel entirely comfortable.

Glenn Beck: "NEWT GINGRICH IS THE ONLY REPUBLICAN CANDIDATE THAT I CANNOT VOTE FOR" (video link)

That one surprised me.

Here are the “Las Vegas odds” from your Ron Paul site.

Republican Nominee Moneyline
Rick Perry 7/5
Mitt Romney 2/1
Michelle Bachmann 7/1
Jon Hunstman 10/1
Sarah Palin 10/1
Ron Paul 20/1
Rudy Giuliani 30/1
Herman Cain 40/1
Newt Gingrich 40/1
Gary Johnson 50/1
Rick Santorum 50/1
Thad McCotter 100/1

Yeah, these “experts” think Herman Cain has the same odds of being elected as Newt Gingrich, but not quite as good as Rudy Giuliani. The odds-on favorite is Rick Perry!

Your odds are good for a laugh, just like your candidate.

Newt is a troubled choice for many reasons. His big govt progressive tendencies are obvious and his ethical and moral problems will be further exploited should he beat out Romney to the nomination. The period 1995-1999 was so bad for Newt he was forced from his Speakership and out of politics altogether. His overt arrogance and diarrhea of the mouth didn't help.

This time around Obama and the left will crucify Gingrich. As it looks right now, Newt doesn't stand a chance.

According to Glenn Beck (thanks for the link - I watched it)

Gingrich = Obama. If the election is between Gingrich and Obama and you don’t vote for Obama it’s because you’re a racist (?)

Gingrich’s rise is because he is backed by the GOP political machine (?)

Glenn Beck = wacko.

Newton Gingrich — if he is the solution, the problems will accelerate.

There is NO DOUBT this is a Beltway GOP hit piece.

And, it's designed to destroy...no only Gingrich, but any hope of a Tea Party-esque conservative.

It is claimed in this article that Newt is a delusional megalomaniac and schizophrenic. With the smarts to back it up.

How long before the establishment of both the left and the right wonder aloud on the front page of the NYT: "Is This the Most Dangerous Man in the World?" Bring out Bush Sr, Clinton, Bush Jr, Carter etc. with a bi-partisan call to not elect Gingrich to POTUS. Could probably even get Kisinger to weigh in.

I happen to agree that politically Gingrich=Obama, but I thought that Beck's "racist" comment was stupid -- a red herring. What in the hell did he say that for? It was a distraction.

Gingrich’s rise is because he is backed by the GOP political machine (?)

Sure, Newt is a vetted neocon, wired into the GOP establishment, even served on the "Committee for the Liberation of Iraq" that actively beat the Iraq war drums. Newt is certainly no Tea Partyer, although for some reason, some Tea Partyers have adopted him. If the big military contractors, bankers and globalist corps can sell Newt to us, they will.

Glenn Beck = wacko.

Yes, and I've never been in Beck's fan club, but he's not completely wrong on this and he's not stupid. He smells a rat here with "The Rise of Newt Gingrich", and so do I.

Duh, what does Ron Paul have to do with a Vegas odds maker. And in case you did not know it there just may be more than on bookie in Vegas. You can call any of them up and put your money where you mouth may be. How much confidence do you have in your man.

actually betting is a poll just like the ones everyone posts about, except betting polls are representative of informed people. And they have been accurate, http://www.pollingreport.com/lvw_bet.htm

LOL! I know, it's a little strange, Gingrich has gone from being a sort of minor irritant (can't win, too much "baggage," why doesn't he know that) to being a threat to Life As We Know It.

Beck smells a rat everywhere, unfortunately for him most of the time it’s just his own derriere.

The only one the bookies missed on was Woodrow Wilson, does that answer your question.

In the interests of full disclosure, I’m a woman - but I agree that the female vote has sometimes been a problem for conservatives.

I’m sure there will be a lot of obnoxious remarks here about Gingrich’s wife (although the only ones I have seen so far are from male posters who seem to be evaluating her from a point of view that most women would certainly not be considering!). But presumably she’s up to that and Gingrich has been the subject of so many personal attacks and assaults over the years that I doubt it would even bother him very much.

That said, I think there is a different generation of conservative women coming up now. I’m not sure how many of them, unless they are quasi-Democrats, would find Noonan and her soft-focus, somewhat prissy world-view that appealing anymore.

The way to appeal to women, I think, is actually to present them with some creative, exciting ideas for solving problems, ranging from their family income to schooling for their kids to protection of the US from hostile attacks, whether physical or economic.

Noonan seems to believe that nobody will like creative ideas, but I think many people in the US, male or female, have now arrived at the point where they realize that the challenge goes beyond just making tweaks to the same old system.

And if Gingrich goes down for presenting creative ideas, at least he will have gone down honorably.

I guess you have realized you can’t come out and openly support Romney on FR, so you’ll bash everyone but.

Your post:

“Las Vegas odds, obummer 200 to 1, newt 5000 to 1. You are the one that needs to look for a new person. “

This website with Ron Paul’s picture right on the top!:

http://www.1800-sports.com/presidential-betting-odds.shtml

What a coincidence, it has the same odds you posted!

BTW the payments are for a $100 bet, not 200 to 1 or 5000 to 1. That’s how I knew there was something fishy about your post. If I could bet 200 to 1 that Obama would win and 5000 to 1 Gingrich could win I, could bet both sides and still make a fortune no matter who wins.

“The only one the bookies missed on was Woodrow Wilson...”

Another specious argument for which you have become famous.

They may have been that accurate a week prior to the election but how accurate have they been a year out?

Apples to apples Sparky, apples to apples.
