>> Barnacle Centurian = Pissant.
...minus the charm and debating skills.
>> No RINO Newt, no RINO Romney.
Then who?
They didn’t “endorse” Romney. They have had a couple of editorials endorsing his positions on various things, although exactly how they have determined what his positions are, I can’t fathom.
I know on Saturday they often re-publish an opinion piece from the week. But they obviously have to determine which one it will be, so it’s not entirely casual.
Did they want to get this out there and get discussion going? Was it a quasi-editorial statement? I don’t know.
Aside from all that, though, Peggy Noonan is such a lightweight I don’t even know why the Journal publishes her musings. They’re always overly emotional, highly subjective, and really (in my opinion) not even very well-written.
That argument would only make sense if Gingrich could actually beat Obama. But Rasmussen says he can't:
One of the best descriptions I have ever read of our current situation. Bravo!
The Newt haters are ridiculous in that they refuse to acknowledge what he has done good for conservatism. The Newt supporters, on the other hand, seem to have the intellectual honesty to admit he’s a flawed candidate.
So while the haters list a bunch of article or opinions of Newt’s let me present a laundry list of his conservative accomplishments - things that actually a happened and effected lives - not interviews or PSA’s.
Led first GOP victory in congress in 40 years
Authored conservative manifesto called Contract with America
Forced welfare reform on Bill Clinton.
Forced balanced budget on Bill Clinton
The pure Bachmann nor Santorum have ever shown even a whiff of that kind of ability. I like their opinions, but dammit, ability matters.
Actions speak very loud.
Coulls always vote Perry. He’s got the money and organization to run a national campaign, so just needs the votes to get the trifecta of *win*.
Though, he can’t debate well. But considering that his opposition would be the man who needs a teleprompter to speak with preschoolers... I’d call it a wash.
When Election season heats up, the WSJ will likely publish opinions by Obama supporters, including at least one written by his campaign manager. “Quasi-editorial,” also?
“Im for Newt. Hes the only choice that we have. Obama or Gingrich. Pick one.”
It’s about who we will pick. It is about who the dim bulb moderates will vote for. I’ll buy you a clue. They won’t be voting for Newt.
Those laundry lists are short on context. In the House the bills introduced are not ‘stand alone’ - they are loaded with amendments, earmarks and add-ons. Voting is a balancing act between the lesser of two evils. In Congress - no elected representative is an island. You vote yea or nay or block -depending if you have the numbers on your side.
It ain’t bean-bag - and Newt was successful when it mattered.
No Newt, No Romney so you are ok with Obozo?
Wow, because that is where this election is headed.
BTW wasn’t Noonan tooting Obama’s horn 4 years ago?
I take it you’re not a Gingrich fan. Most of those articles are false, biased or complete nonsense. Sorry, just my opinion.

BTW wasnt Noonan tooting Obamas horn 4 years ago?
Like most insider “conservative” pundits, Peggy has not had an independent conservative thought or idea of reform drift through her brain for years. Useless.
Mmmm, yes. Words speak louder than actions, and professional politicans NEVER lie.
Boy oh boy...
