Ann Arbor schools starting new effort to close racial 'discipline gap'They need to study the "who knows who his daddy is" gap. An honest regression analysis would show a very high correlation between discipline problems and no daddy. But, the politically correct approach will be to look everywhere else but there.

Simple solution. Forget “racially balanced outcome” and instead suspend or punish students who misbehave. Make the rules for proper behaviour clearly understood and widely distributed.
Behaviour based outcomes. A radical concept in this 21st century.

I imagine the statistics are correct. Discipline is what the offenders lack. You don’t correct that by making the rules less lenient. It would more likely than not be a behavior disparity. We do youth NO favors by not expecting anything from them.

They can't make Eric Holder's people act like civilized human beings, so they have to pretend that things that aren't even wrong are elevated to crimes for non-Eric Holder students.

Based on my experience, the low-hanging fruit would come from fathers showing up and being involved in their kids’ life. That's a multi-racial issue.
The next thing would be to provide vocational training so a kid who doesn't want to be in school has an incentive to show up and not act up.
Then, and only then, you make it clear Thug Ain't Cool.
