As the United States and other nations grapple with how best to stop Iran from acquiring a nuclear weapon, a high-ranking Chinese military official has raised the stakes considerably on any possible military action.

On Dec. 4, according to a report in Press TV, a news network owned by the Iranian government, Chinese rear admiral and prominent military commentator Zhang Zhaozhong said, “China will not hesitate to protect Iran even with a third world war.”

It is not clear when the statement was made or in what context. Once reported, the statement went viral in China and elsewhere.

Apart from being a rear admiral in the Chinese navy, Zhang is the director of the National Defense University Military Logistics and Equipment Department. He maintains nationalistic military blogs that receive millions of viewers and is also well known as a commentator who appears regularly on the state-run China Central Television (CCTV). In 2006 he began hosting a CCTV-7 program called “Defense Review Week,” according to a research report by the Open Source Center. Efforts to reach Zhang were unsuccessful. …

This is the kind of regime we have foolishly had open trade with for decades, even to the point of having them swallow our industrial base. You don’t trade with communists.

The anything for a buck attitude shows you what kind of prostitutes we’ve become when it comes to trade. We’ll sell our own mothers and sisters in a manner of speaking.

During the Bill Clinton years they said, “You’d never go 2 War 4 Taiwan if it cost you the city of Los Angeles....”

And indeed 2 years ago what appeared to be an ICBM appeared to have been launched from a submarine off of Los Angeles.

How much more will be required before the picture comes into focus for, “The smartest POTUS in US history”....?

Hmm?

Unfortunately we wouldn’t win this one. No allies or allies that would bow and attack us.

Well, I’m going to stick my neck out here and predict General Zhang gets a re-education assignment and a note in the file.

China has many enemies - Japan, Taiwan, India, South Korea, Vietnam, Malaysia and Philippines.

Somebody should tell Zhang to not pick fights with bigger dogs.

Little yellow prick had best learn how to choose his words more carefully. He does NOT want to engage tet-a-tet with the US.

First I do not want any war

But if it came, Who has the team who has been in the game and winning for over how many years.
The command is communist, top down, no thinkers. Not allowed.
10 + years of on the battle field and winning of troops to draw on if necessary.

They have a lot of people, Nucs. ships and propaganda out the wazoo
Nasty fight, lots of dead, end of the day... USA USA USA

“You don’t trade with communists.”

Agreed, FRiend.

The problem with the ChiComm admiral, who’s floating a rubber ducky in his bathtub, is how does he disquise all the popped rivets floating in the South China Sea from his “fleet” that Vietnam will use to track and sink his worthless tub Navy?

The 30 IQ ChiComm apes still haven’t figured out how to anneal a bolt.
