SAN ANTONIO, Texas, December 8, 2011 (LifeSiteNews.com) A woman has been fired from a Macys department store for denying a man dressed as a woman access to the womens fitting room.
I had to either comply with Macys or comply with God, said Natalie Johnson, 27, a former employee at the retail giants location in Rivercenter Mall, San Antonio. Natalie Johnson says she was concerned for her female customers, who she thought might be uncomfortable about having a man in their fitting room.
According to Johnson, on November 30th she witnessed a young cross-dressing man wearing make-up and girls clothing exit the womens fitting room. She told the man politely that the womens fitting room was for women only, making it clear that he was not to make use of the room again.
The customer, along with five companions, argued in response that Macys is friendly to the LGBT community.

Johnson retorted that Macys doesnt discriminate against religious beliefs, adding that it would go against her religious beliefs to act on a lie that a man was a woman.
I couldnt lie and say that he was a woman. Im going to be accountable to what I say to my Lord Jesus, said Johnson, a member of Tabernacle of Prayer, to My San Antonio.
Johnson says she believes that she was acting for the good of her female customers who she thought might be uncomfortable about having a man in their fitting room.
The group demanded to see the manager, who, siding with the transgendered person, pointed Johnson to Macys LGBT policy, which allows transgender persons to change in any dressing room of their choice.
The manager gave Johnson an ultimatum: comply with the LGBT policies or lose her job.
Johnson replied that the policy was against her sincerely held religious convictions. She was fired the next day.
I was fired for standing up for what I believe in, she said.
The conservative Christian law firm Liberty Counsel has decided to take Johnsons case.
Macys policy which allows men to use the womens dressing room is fraught with problems, the firm stated in a press release on Monday.
Macys has essentially opened womens dressing rooms to every man. The LGBT agenda has become the theater of the absurd.
Matt Staver, Liberty Counsels founder and chairman, told My San Antonio that his firm is fighting for Johnson to help her reclaim her job and to change Macys policy.
To me, its a liability waiting to happen. Its just a matter of time that a man goes into a female fitting room and watches women undress or, even worse, rapes a woman.
The American Family Association (AFA) is urging people to contact Macys headquarters to express outrage at this injustice to female employees and customers.
Macys has done a great injustice by firing Natalie Johnson, whose first priority is the welfare and safety of Macys customers, reads the lines of a draft e-mail composed by AFA that can be sent directly to Macys president, Terry Lundgren, and other key executives.
AFA says it would like to see Macys apologize to Johnson, to reinstate her position in the company, and to put safeguards in place that will protect all women customers from men who desire to enter their fitting rooms.
Not that it matters a whole lot, but how are you supposed to tell if it’s a “transgendered” person as opposed to just someone cross dressing?
Also, if they are actually transgendered, why does the policy allow them to enter either room? Shouldn’t they have to enter the room that matches what they have...uh...transgendered to?
And who is supposed to ask them anyway? The attendant of the dressing rooms is in a no win situation.
I suspect that if you even ask, you will be fired.
And if you let a cross dressing man in the ladies area, you will also be fired.
True, there was a lock on the door. But not two feet away the young man sat and talked with the girl he was with the whole time while she opened the door of her room and came out modeling, then went back in and tried on some more.
The other problem is that “transgendered” men are often psychos. Living in NY, I’ve seen some of their more bizarre and menacing behavior. They often take drugs and are high as a kite.
Another thing: no “transgendered” man can wear Macy’s clothes. This whole thing is a set up for a law suit. Trannies have to go to special stores and online websites to the find high heels in size 15.
I completely understand your discomfort. That couple was completely insensitive to you and the other shoppers. But then that’s modern-day America!
You’ll probably get rooms that are unmarked and unmonitored, with a sign telling you that, and with all sorts of stuff going on in them...
Ask to see their neck. If there's an Adam's apple, there's a Y-chromosome to match.
“I’m sick to death of Gay activists pushing women around”. WE HAVE A WINNER. It is the snide dismissal of women (a hallmark of Barney Frank) that allows them to treat our mothers, sisters, daughters and wives as SECOND CLASS CITIZENS in places reserved for their privacy. The employee should have protested that she was offended as a woman instead of arguing on religious grounds.MACY’s can laugh of the religious customers. But women can put a store out of business.
The murderer Richard Speck (sp?) who murdered all those nurses in the ‘60s WAS a crossdresser. He was once interviewed in prison while he was wearing a dress. I’m not making this up!
Yeah, but does it still have external plumbing...
Don't they know that sanity still rules in Western Pennsylvania?
Yes, the argument should have been kept simple.
“Looked like a man to me, so I kicked him out.”
I’m a little worked up on this subject today so please excuse my emotion.
The theatre is my profession and I have just found out that the B’way musical “On a Clear Day,” has written out the female lead (her name was Daisy and she was played on stage by Barbara Harris and in the movies by Barbra Streisand) and replaced her with...a gay man. This is the third or fourth time when something like this has happened. The gays are destroying theatre careers for women and women are too intimidated to speak up.
Plumbing shouldn't matter--a Y-chromosome denotes the male of the species, regardless of how an individual male may have chosen to mutilate himself. And an employee would certainly risk getting fired for asking a customer to "drop trou'".
It had not even crossed my mind that the clothes wouldn't even fit them nor the sort of personality I would encounter!
In a wacko world, only wackos have rights!
The queers & supporters will try to bring up the truly genetically ambiguous cases, but what are they? 1 in 100 million? The rest are just mentally ill.
I’m going to e-mail Macy and tell them to re-hire her. As a private company, they can make rules, however as a stockholder of Macy’s, I’m going to ask them in the next shareholder meeting, why are they forgetting conservatives who shops at Macy’s.

If my wife found a transvestite in the ladies fitting room, the Macy's clerk would be the least of the pervert's worries.
What a society we've come to, where this sort of thing actually needs to be discussed seriously. 20 years ago, this freak would have been tossed out on his ass and told not to come back.
And, while I'm ranting, this smells like a setup. 1 perv in the ladies' room, accompanied by 5 friends to provide the outrage, and an accompanying lawsuit.
I hope other freeper women do the same. We MUST fight back against the insanity going on in our country....we also MUST put our mouth where our freeping is.
Many women have led somewhat sheltered lives and have never been in contact with grown men dressed as women complete with full makeup, wigs and high heels.
I guarantee you, it's not only unsettling, it makes your skin crawl.
Many decades ago as part of my employment I had to deal with men in drag who were in the entertainment business. I rather quickly had to refuse to participate in this aspect of my duties as I couldn't handle it and didn't WANT to handle it....it was so abnormal and creepy.
Someone else was quetly put in my place without a problem. If this same scenario was today I probably would be fired or publicly disgraced as a "gender bigot" for refusing to recognize and approve unnatural, deviant behavior.

Well, being in NYC theatre, I know a hell of a lot more than I should about transvestite and “transgendered” men. They are a bunch of oversized freaks with giant Adam’s apples and extremely large feet, lol! And they LOVE coke and crystal meth.
