Don’t they mean “workplace violence?”
Contrary to popular opinion, military members going to and from military bases are sitting ducks. The reason is simple. There is no base commander I know who allows military members to carry concealed when entering a military installation. It is a felony to bring a firearm onto a military installation without authorization. So, that’s why the body count was so high at Ft. Hood. That situation was all the more tragic as many of the service personnel wounded/killed were combat veterans who probably would have survived if concealed carry had been permitted. This is something that Congress can fix. I believe that military members should be allowed to carry or have a weapon in their vehicle if entering military bases. I wish someone is Congress would sponsor legislation to that effect.
It’s already happened...but no one has really payed any attention, imho.

During my time in Iraq, we profiled “military-aged males’ (MAM’s) as potential insurgents. Any male 17-45 was a potential terrorist.
This is what’s needed now. Keep MAM’s away from military installations and key infrastructure. Profile MAM’s for suspicious activities. Don’t trust them. Don’t hire them. Don’t believe them.
Don’t worry.
When it happens (again, thanks Nadal Hassan), they’ll just blame TEA partiers, semi-automatic firearms and gun shows.
I thought Obama’s admin says only our veteran’s and Tea partiers were terrorists.
“Occupy” also said that THEY would try to infiltrate, too. Merits close watching, IMHO.

“House Report: Islamists Targeting the Military”

SNIPPET: “Since the United States was attacked on 9/11, more than 2.3 million Americans have volunteered to go overseas to combat terror. But according to a new investigative report issued Wednesday by the Republican staff of the House Homeland Security Committee, overseas jihadists in Afghanistan and Iraq have plenty of company when it comes to trying to kill American soldiers.
According to the report, the Defense Department considers the U.S. homeland to be “the most dangerous place for a G.I. outside of foreign warzones,” and the top threat faced by American soldiers at home “is from violent Islamist extremists.” These radicals are penetrating U.S. defenses by enlisting in the U.S. armed forces.”
