One of the responsibilities of being a Concern Troll should be to offer an example.

One of the responsibilities of being an intelligent poster should be to at least ask a question or post a constructive comment without immediately jumping to name calling prig.

what makes everyone so sure that John Bolton would be the best Secretary of State?

Have you ever listened to him? You know he was the former UN ambassador.

Good move on Newt’s part. However, John Bolton might not accept if he surmised that Gingrich was simply using him to placate conservatives and had no intention of allowing Bolton to have a substantive role in formulating U.S. foreign policy. So, although I like the idea, it isn’t a slam-dunk by any means. To win my vote, Gingrich has to do better than simply promising to ask John Bolton to be his Secretary of State. However, I’m willing to listen to his argument.

Bolton has worked at State and knows where the dry rot is found. What I’d really like to know (given that Bolton would accept) is who he would name as his Asst. Secys of State, and who he would name to head the Bureau of Intelligence and Research.

There is that bit in the Constitution requiring advice and consent from the Senate...

Newt better hope for a landslide GOP gain in the Senate to reach the 60 votes needed to prevent conservative nominees, like Bolton, from being filibustered.

Bolton is a hard-charging, no-nonsense
patriot.

No more enemies of the USA being invited
by the administration to take advantage
of us.

Please do a little Google research. Bolton has worked at State. He is a polymath who knows the ins and outs of weapons negotiations. He is a hard liner (i.e., he is an American-firster), and he is absolutely fearless. He is hated by Democrats. What else do you want?

Because of Gingrich's choice, the man-haters, queers and free traitors will do everything that they can to stop him, including those who've infiltrated conservative discussion boards in large numbers to push weaker stealth socialist candidates (liars without voting records: man-haters, queers and free traitors).

Globalists will do anything and everything that they can do to stop any defense action from being done in order to keep their freight fuel flowing for today. They don't care about tomorrow, because they have their foreign resorts to go to in any emergency.

President’s are allowed to chose their Secretary of State. For the Congress (which will be Republican in 2012) to oppose the Bolton nomination would create a constitutional crisis from the git-go.

"...what makes everyone so sure that John Bolton would be the best Secretary of State? Is it possible there is a better person for that position who doesn't talk tough on Fox and have a cool mustache?"

Gingrich won't choose or tolerate another anti-Israel, anti-defense, globalist, "progressive" Secretary of State (e.g., Rice). We've seen more than enough of that kind of policy from both political parties and are fed up with it.

As I pointed out in the duplicate of this thread: Bolton as Sec. State remains a pipe dream if we cannot take back the Senate.
