Texas Gov. Rick Perry said today that using foreign aid to combat human rights abuses against homosexuals in foreign countries is not in Americas interests and attacked President Obamas decision to require U.S. agencies operating abroad to promote equal rights for gays as part of the administrations war on traditional American values.
Just when you thought Barack Obama couldnt get any more out of touch with Americas values, AP reports his administration wants to make foreign aid decisions based on gay rights. This administrations war on traditional American values must stop, Perry said in the statement. Promoting special rights for gays in foreign countries is not in Americas interests and not worth a dime of taxpayers money.
Perry moved beyond the national security implications of the decision and honed in on what he deemed to be an attack on traditional American values.
But there is a troubling trend here beyond the national security nonsense inherent in this silly idea, he said. This is just the most recent example of an administration at war with people of faith in this country. Investing tax dollars promoting a lifestyle many [Americans] of faith find so deeply objectionable is wrong. President Obama has again mistaken Americas tolerance for different lifestyles with an endorsement of those lifestyles. I will not make that mistake.

LOL, you really don’t have a clue. Would love to educate you but on my way out the door.
Boy howdy!
Understood. As to W, he went with the compassion crap which is big spending. Perry is looking to cut. He is also an outsider that hates Washington, its bureaucrats and regulations. Newt and Mittens I don’t trust.
Please feel free to “educate me” on how Rick Perry did not voluntarily sign a bill granting in-state tuition to illegals even though public records show he did when you return.
He didn’t say that. He is opposed to Obama’s pandering to his base. Millions of Christians are being deprived of life liberty and property and he doesn’t say anything. He cares only for the gays because they fund his campaign.

His problem is simply that he is anti-Perry. I don’t know who he is supporting. That would be an interesting thing to know.
Do you personally believe that the US should not decrease foreign aid to nations that violently crack down on gay rights rallies or kill those who the state perceives to by gay?
Palin and Cain. If I’m wrong about Cain, I stand corrected.
Blessings of the Season and Merry Christmas to you.
Perry misses the forest for the trees. The reason we don’t need this is because we should never be in support of anything the confers “human rights” based of group affiliation. It doesn’t matter what you are or what you call yourself, your rights flow from God to you as an individual person. That is the essence of conservatism.
Thanks shield.

Bush owned the rangers and then ran for Governor.
The Perry haters, the liberals, the media, the all or nothing conservatives and the republican establishment are knocking out our candidates one by one. That is nothing but a recipe for Romney.
Wow, that is the most unconscionable, malignant and grotesquely unjust attempt at erasing a person's opinions I think I've ever read. To then end it with a pretended affirmation of personal support twists it into a hell realm of deranged viciousness. Your tagline is perfect for you.
What a completely misleading headline.
Cindie
Not given to hyperbole, are you? LOL!
Your laughter proves my point. Get help.
Remind me which party he belonged to during much of that time. Oh, and please don’t bring up President Reagan changing parties. He was NEVER a Democratic officeholder.
