Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney will win the Republican presidential nomination, Dave Keene, former chairman of the American Conservative Union, tells Newsmax.
Romney has the discipline, Keene says. He has the money. He has the organization.

Romney may have the money and the organization and the discipline, but he simply cannot close the sale with GOP voters and all of the money, organization and discipline cannot make the “product” of Mitt Romney more appealing to us.
In short - Romney is a “No Sale”.
The number of prognosticators needing to save salt for their crow, is growing!
Newt and Romney will more likely split the lib vote and that will create an opening for one of the conservative candidates.
From the latest PPP poll:
The biggest surprise in this poll might be Michele Bachmanns bounce back into double digits. As those Tea Party voters scratch their heads and wonder how they ended up supporting Gingrich, its possible that Bachmann might get a second look.
This was the clown that brought in the homos to cpac.
Unfortunately I believe that Mitt will be the candidate. We don’t like it and we will do our best to block it, but I think he’ll get the nod.
In an age of insanity, prognostication is a losing game. Crazy people are likely to do just about anything, and it is never predictable.
Time to join GOA.
Given the situation with Romney and Newt, I wouldn’t be surprised if one of the other guys get a second look and deemed ‘acceptable’. It might be Perry since Newt’s position on immigration sort of neutralizes his problem. Huckabee seemed to like him.
I, too, think Keene might be right. For the past week I have been watching the numbers at Intrade. Newt was actually within 6 points of Mitt last week but now Mitt leads by about 18.
I don’t think either one is a particularly good candidate for the GOP.
Plus you gotta understand, Republicans still do demand a certain level of personal accountability. 3 wives, multiple affairs and shaky ethics are going to turn off the voters to Newt in the long run.
Three months ago I disagree with those who said this but understood their thinking. Now we have much more evidence that the GOP primary electorate simply does not want Mitt and is thinking tactically to avoid his nomination. Case in point: as Cain faded and eventually withdrew it seems his support went to Newt, not Bachmann, Santorum or Perry.
Mitt Romney has been polling at 23% for five years running. The only way he can win with such low support is if the rest of the vote is divided evenly by the others including at least two or three of Newt, Perry, Michelle and Santorum. So far that does not appear to be happening.
The extremely wealthy Mormon Church, which polices compulsory tithing, is 100% behind Romney. All Muslim moneys automaticallly go to Obama.
So let’s just pop the last of the popcorn we will probably evver get again,
OR DO SOMETHING ABOUT THE TRUTH ABOUT HERMAN CAIN AND DO IT QUICK! Like he said, it doesn’t take a lot of money.,. It takes a lot of substance!
The anti-American media should not be allowed to get away with it’s commission of scummy les aabout Herman Cain, and it’s ommission, as in NOT reporting the truth about Herman Cain as revealed to them by very creditble sosurces!
And if Palin comes out in support of Perry? I would see that as a VERY positive thing.

Maybe this is so but I would think that Newt's negatives are already "baked into the cake" as far as his current popularity goes. It seems to me that even Newt's most ardent supporters see him as a mixed bag of positives and negatives. None of the stuff that is being raised comes as any surprise. Why would it hurt him?

Kessler attacked Palin for endorsing Rand Paul.
