Apparently she had this screening as part of IVF treatment, so I would think not.

(The hormones would trigger breast cancer to spread -— as would any pregnancy, I suppose. With IVF, you have the luxury of checking before.)

Oddly, seems infertility saved her life.

She had a history of IVF and a miscarriage and was preparing to start IVF again- I just wonder if the massive doses of hormones women take to prepare for IVF may trigger cancers? (such as I believe happened to Elizabeth Edwards)

Adoption and surrogacy can build families for the infertile-the human spirit and the desire of a woman to have her own child go beyond logic.

I do hope she survives and has a happy life, eventually with children. She sure lucked out by marrying a guy like Bill Rancic.
