...Against Paul, 42 percent of registered voters in Iowa support Obama and 43 percent support Paul. Pauls popularity among independents could be a crucial advantage. Paul leads Obama 42 percent to 35 percent among independent voters, according to the poll, and he also attracts 15% of Iowas Democrats. Not to mention that 16 percent of voters were undecided....

That is a cop out.
If you have a criticism, be man enough to lay it out.
He later went on to say “And the democrats don’ want you to throw them into dat ol’ briar patch too”
I will vote for Paul over Gingrich.
I’m a woman...and I think we have hashed out all of Ron Paul’s rather odd foreign policy ideas sufficiently on FreeRepublic as well as in the conservative world in general.
If you like him...power to you. He won’t be the nominee.
“Personally, Im really uncomfortable with some of Pauls foreign policy beliefs.”
You make some good points.
As for foreign policy, having spent a good portion of the past decade in the Army and deploying into these theaters myself, I see Ron Paul as being absolutely correct in his assessments.
I guess that is why Ron Paul receives more campign contributions from military members than all other candidates combined! We military vets know the score over there.
Moreover, Ron Paul is a veteran himself who served honorably during the Viet Nam era. He is not a duplicitous chickenhawk like Gingrich and Romney who ‘opted-out’ during those times.
So, with Ron Paul there really is no worries on foreign policy.
‘infiltrate’
Oooooh. Sounds a little paranoid to me.
Interesting.
Another who will bash but does not lay it out.
I doubt that you even know what his foreign policy is.
That is a surprise to me. I had you figured for having much more depth. Your selection of Dr. Paul by default seems shallow considering that there are many positive reasons to back him.
PS: He is only "crazy" in the opinion of the establishment.
How did the current foreign policy become "conservative"? How has the current foreign policy helped the cause of conservatism?
Think about what the current foreign policy has done for this country over the past (nearly) century. Please list any positive aspects, because I see a net negative.
“The status quo, on either side of the Welfare-Warfare Bandwagon, are scared to death of Ron Paul.”
Yes, and they have No trouble with disseminating false information to Maintain the Status Quo.

Both sides of the Media have personal contacts/sources within this Behemoth of Bureaucracy who feed them their insider tidbits. If Paul gets the POTUS slot, he’s obsessed with shutting down a lot of that bureaucracy, and there go all those little info sources for our journo-opinion molders.
“According the the wonks on MSNBC (purely on a “non-partisan” level, of course) Mitt is the only candidate the Republicans should run, because he stands a chance of beating Obama.”
At THIS Point, Daffy Duck could take Zero down for the count at under 2 minutes into the first round.
The trick, for us, is to not get Zero BACK again for 4 more years because We WON when his Media Selected Doppleganger who is wearing an R replaces him.
You didn't click on "the Crazy Ones" link in my response -- otherwise you would have understood the context.
I presented a simplified, process-of-elimination, version of "why Ron Paul" -- not the reasons why I chose him. Frankly, I wish that there were four or five "Ron Paul"'s (honest, smart, Constitutionalists, not owned by anyone but the American people, with an in depth understanding of economics) up there to chose from, but there isn't -- there is only one -- one who is qualified, and who isn't a liar, a moral contortionist, or a bought and paid for globalist shill.
And there is only One who can beat Obama at his own game and unite the country again -- and that's Ron Paul. If RP loses the nomination, then we are likely going to be looking at 4 more years of Obama.
Oh, O.K., I saw the video. Thanks.
Now, I will take issue with your latest asssertion. I can't visualize Dr. Paul playing the same game as Obama.
IMO, Dr. Paul's higher moral standards would not allow it, and it is just not his style. Win, yes, but he will win by simply outlining his conservative policies which will be in stark contrast to the liberal, inside-the-beltway, politics-as-usual, go-long-to-get-along campaign that the dems will run.
And the only way he will unite the country is by prosecuting the fraudsters that stole everybody's money.
No, the country will not be united unless and until there is a common enemy. The dems will never admit to being wrong, they will never "convert" to conservatism, and they will never give up trying to ruin the country.
Just in case anyone is under the impression that the contest will be easy, consider the war chest that Obama is gathering, the tactics that will be used, and the help the dems always get from the LMSM.
It will get rough. RP can still win, and he is the only Republican who could.
I said nothing about “leftist” foreign policy.
And ALL the lies told by people like you have been debunked time and again, yet, like good little mindless drones, you ignore facts and keep regurgitating the same lies over and again. Bless your pea-pickin’ little hearts.
“And ALL the lies told by people like you ...”
People like me? Do you know me?
Lies? Can you name ONE lie I have told?
