Wrong on all counts. As far as the Church is concerned Gingrich WAS NEVER MARRIED. He was not married,IN THE CHURCH until he married Calista.

Marriage in the Church is not only a civil arrangement it is a Religious Sacrament. The Curch is only concerned with the Religious Sacrament as far as marriages are concerned. Any church wedding or civil wedding NOT approved by the Roman Church IS NOT a Religious Sacrament in the Catholic Church.

Please refer to the Baltimore Catechism for further explanation. Pgs 237-242

Really? So unless one is married in THE CATHOLIC CHURCH, Catholics don’t considered you married at all?

Puh-leaze. If you’re gonna make up stuff, at least do a better job of it.
