Thank you for your interest in the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center. We apologize for any confusion that resulted from our policy. In no way was the instruction meant to prohibit family members from providing religious items to their love ones. The intent of the instruction was to respect the religious and cultural practices of all of our patients. We are drafting a new instruction that will clearly articulate our respect for religious and cultural practices of all of our patients and families.< eyesrolling>Again, we regret any confusion that this might have caused and we thank you for your support of our Warriors and their families.
On behalf of the Command...
muslims are worried a muslim might actually get offered or given or otherwise exposed to a Bible (gasp)- oh the humanity
Someone needs to send Bibles by balloon into Saudi Arabia- it's just as big a gulag as North Korea
They are probing, pushing the envelope, testing the limits.... When a patriotic AMERICAN speaks out, however, the Communists back down.
IN other words.... we really wanted to ban them but since we got caught and the blow back was so bad we have decided we will change our policy and hope next time you bitter clingers and not paying attention....

From Walter Reed....”We are drafting a new instruction that will clearly articulate our respect for religious and cultural practices of all of our patients and families.”
They are forgetting they also work for us...this is a nation under the Christian God...nobody’s said otherwise and I don’t want Reed to respect Islam or any other political ideology that opposes our nation and seeks to harm it...nope...and they will be hearing from me.
>>Again, we regret any confusion that this might have caused
They aren’t sorry for trying it. They’re just sorry that that the bitter clingers found out and were “confused”.
I’m sorry for the service members who have to risk their life for a nation as disgusting as this one has become. The government and more than half of the people aren’t worth breaking a fingernail for!
If I was bringing a Bible to a wounded family member, I’d bring a couple people with cameras to film them pepper-spraying me, tasing me, or beating me up to stop me.
Occupy Amerika! Wolverines!
To the Walter Reed Command:
BULLSHIT!
on behalf of my father-in-law, at least three Purple Hearts (Iwo, etc)
-on behalf of my son, OIF, first over the line 3/20/2003
-on behalf of my wife and myself, married at Walter Reed Military Chapel
-on behalf of my late father, CWS, WW2, who spent time recovering from an illness in a military hospital
-on behalf of my late uncle, AAF, who was badly injured in the line of duty and spent 6 months in a military hospital
-on behalf of the Army chaplain who gave me a ride in Saigon and the Navy medic at Ca Mau who cured whatever wrecked my stomach (I had to walk out of a briefing by Gen. Cushman)
WTF is going on with our military?

CONFUSION????
What is confusing about NO BIBLES??
>> In no way was the instruction meant to prohibit family members from providing religious items to their love ones.
The Bible is NOT a religious item. It’s among the oldest documents known to man.
This is Commie censorship that has penetrated the walls of our Military!
