The Daily Mail ^ | 12-4-2011 | Staff - AP

With the Republican field’s first major test just weeks away, the failed presidential bid of Herman Cain is throwing his support behind the current frontrunner.

Sources told Fox 5 Atlanta that Herman Cain will endorse the presidential bid of Former House Speaker Newt Gingrich.

Several sexual harassment allegations and a claim of a long-term affair left the former Godfather’s Pizza CEO’s White House bid all but destroyed.

I refuse to vote for a man who I believe will beget us 4 more years of Obama. And I won't.

Other than Romney...Yes, I think that you will....we're all just letting you get it out of your system until the time comes where you see what is truly best for the country....Newt is and continues to bring on many who are convinced he's the best man for the job. You just have to get in the place where you hate Obama more than you do Newt.

We don’t need another old white haired... republican running against Obama.

Odd you would say this as the youth are coming into Newt's corner. In my workplace they love him like a grandfather...they're saying he makes them feel "secure" again instead of afraid of what's happening to their country. Also they recognize that when the nation is falling down the wisom of the "aged" is needed and desired.

I'm very glad to see the young people turn to Newt....they don't need a "friend" or "bosom buddie" as Obama gave them...they NEED a figurehead they can look to and respect....white hair and all!

You blew it with the comment about katiedidit1’s friends.

This is the way it’s been going all fall, now winter.

As to anyone’s influence on another, I realize the Nation elected Obama, but I don’t believe that FReepers are that wishy-washy. I believe that when we give evidence, we convince. When we just go negative we only play anonymous-poster-on-the-’Net.

Yes, I think that you will.

Then you think wring. I refuse to vote for Gingrich just as many here, myself included, refuse to vote for Romney.

I won't vote for anyone who is pro-amnesty or pro-abortion and you only make yourself look foolish when you say I will.

It was humor, gosh we are all so testy these days.
I'm 100% in Newt's camp and respect Herman for his efforts.

I try not to hate anyone........but I’m only human. Both are equally Progressives in my mind. I can’t in good conscience vote for either one.

In 08 I voted for Cain (due to Palin) and have felt dirty ever since. I won’t do it again.

Gingrich's position on amnesty while running for POTUS.

I am for a path to legality for those people whose ties are so deeply into America that it would truly be tragic to try and rip their family apart."
~Newt Gingrich 2011

Gingrich's position on amnesty when not running for POTUS.

Anything less than requiring people who are working here illegally to return home to apply for a worker visa is amnesty.
~Newt Gingrich 2006

It should also be mentioned that advocates of amnesty should not be taken seriously if they claim to be also in favor of tougher border control. It is simply not credible that advocates of amnesty will be reliably tough on controlling the borders.
~Newt Gingrich 2006

No thanks.

Add Dick Armey who told the Clinton meetings story and the fact that Armey and Hoekstra were also in House leadership. So they worked very closely with him.

I will vote for Newt in the general over Obama. He is glib but VERY flawed.

If they do, they will need to ignore that shared prickly past. Hoekstra wants him to apologize to those in the House leadership at the time. He says Newt squandered the majority. What’s say Newt will not fold and squander it once again?
