There must be a reason...just a guess, but I don’t think ALL of his races were lost because they were Dem districts.

Maryland and Illinois. What else do you need to know?

He ran for President of the United States in 1996, 2000, and 2008, and was a Republican nominee for the U.S. Senate in 1988, 1992, and 2004 and 2008. In the federal election held on November 4, 2008, Keyes received 47,694 votes nationally to finish seventh. About 86% (40,673) of the votes he received were cast in California (which is usually considered Dem country) so I guess I’’m confused.
