An 85-year-old Long Island grandmother says she plans to sue the TSA after a humiliating strip search on Tuesday by agents at JFK Airport.
Lenore Zimmerman, who lives in Long Beach, says she was on her way to a 1 p.m. flight to Fort Lauderdale when security whisked her to a private room and took off her clothes.
I walk with a walker I really look like a terrorist, she said sarcastically. Im tiny. I weigh 110 pounds, 107 without clothes, and I was strip-searched.
TSA spokeswoman Lisa Farbstein said a review of closed circuit TV footage from the airport shows proper procedures were followed.

The nation needs a cleansing, in the Jeffersonian sense.
>>if I were to get in line and at the last second decide to forfeit my travel plans, could I refuse the strip search and just leave or would the jackboot thugs say too late Jew?<<
Once you pass the guy who checks your ID you are in TSA-controlled area and subject to their whims. You basically have to ask permission to leave.
Thank Political Correctness...
Thanks, we need to dismantle this abominiation ASAP.
>>If you do not want me to touch you and I pat you, that’s battery.<<
Flying is voluntary — you basically give up certain rights when you decide to fly: I an giving you the government’s perspective and what seems to be the legal arguments to date on similar incidents. It is no more battery than if you are detained by a police officer who pats you down even on the tiniest shred of “probable cause” (don’t get me started on that whole issue and the removal of the IVth Amendment).
>>What would you call it if I took you into a private room and stripped you?<<
A few years a go I would have called it a first date ;)
I’m telling you, and I’m not racist, but don’t be surprised if the TSA people who did this were Eric Holder’s people.
All I ever see at the airport are blacks and some hispanics hassling and searching the lily white people. They seem to enjoy it. Like payback or something, I don’t know.
It’s ironic. The people who look like the typical terrorists are searching the people who look like the typical terrorist victims. That’s our country folks. That’s the wisdom of the LEFT and minorities who hate White America. Just saying.....oh.....and I’m hispanic too. But I call it as I see it. Thank yah....
Strip searches aren’t just for criminals or suspected criminals anymore!
The TSA is the reason I will never board another airplane. I’ve been everywhere I wanted to go, so I don’t have any reason to fly.
If I can’t drive there, I don’t go there..........
Looks really dangerous!
Ben Franklin (1775)
There were Tejanos at the Alamo and at San Jacinto. They have always been a part of Texas. They were not La Raza.
Texas is not where you were born (or the color of your skin) but a State of Heart, Mind and Attitude.
May it ever be so. FUBO!
Adolf Eichmann and his boss the other Adolf are laughing at us from hell.
She should’ve traveled in a burqua and the TSA would have left her alone.
85 years old, on blood thinners, hunched back, wheel chair.
TSA vermin.
Yes, a leg injury is very slow to heal. Even for a younger person.
Think she may win the lawsuit. But, on the other hand she may draw a Dem Judge and jury.
Exactly! You don't want them to be strip searching people who may fight back, do you? It is easier to strip search a frail 85 year old lady than a 20-something ME male.
Ewwwwwww............!
The Founding Fathers clearly intended freedom from unreasonable searches to only apply to walkers.
According to the Adolfs.
Yes, they were just following orders. Oh, I forgot, that defense did not work for Eichmann.
Yep. Such is the insanity of bureaucraps.
