Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.
We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?

Great idea.
The custodian at the school where I work teaches gun safety classes. I think I’ll ask him what weapon he would use to defend his family if he expected there to be civil unrest.
I need to get away from all this stuff and get my mind settled around the new reality, but I saw a headline that the entire US can be called a battlefield so the military can do whatever they want (my first impression without having checked out any details). So I guess it’ll be the US military taking me out and shooting me probably, rather than the communist-Islamists. Maybe my nephews even...
But hey, at least I know it’s coming so I don’t have to waste my time trying to deal with the putrid political process. This way, I can actually celebrate Christmas this year, knowing that America is passing away so I don’t need to expend energy trying to save her.
Lord, Thy will be done. Amen.
Hope the establishment GOP, the Dems and their comrades in the media don’t choke on all the celebratory liquor they are swilling right now...
I don’t have anything against Perry, except that I must note that he seems prone to making silly mistakes for some reason.
Unfortunatley, the lemmings seem gung ho for Newt the Whore, and that’s just something I’m not going to do.
At this point, I am of the opinion that whether or not America survives depends on her ability to rise from the ashes of what is coming, because it is definitely coming.
I should say I would vote against Obama, by choosing Newt.
There’s no difference between Romney and Obama, so I’ll just vote for House and Senate candidates, and write in “Mickey Mouse” for POTUS.

You’re entitled to throw your little temper tantrum but he did drop out. I hope he does become Sec. of Treasury.
Cainbots who projected their expectations onto him while disregarding fundamental weaknesses in him as a candidate are no different than the college kids who voted for hopey, dopey, changey in 2008.
And you call Cain supporters "emotionalists." Good Lord, man, get up off your knees.
Well, if he suspends his campaign but still fights back the allegations (in a courtroom) that costs money & reputation to the guilty maybe people will think twice before doing this again. I hope he fights. No one should go down like this. They’ve done it twice now. Palin & Cain. We never learn. Never. Even if people didn’t support these two they should fight against this kind of destruction. Our candidates shouldn’t be forced out by vicious character assassination. Whether or not they can win, we’ve proved the media can force anyone on our side to quit. They’ve done it to 2 of their sacred groups: women & blacks. They didn’t deserve it but perhaps we do:
“In Germany they came first for the Communists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist. Then they came for the Jews, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant. Then they came for me, and by that time no one was left to speak up.”

If it's good enough for 70 law enforcement offices across this country to use it, then it is good enough!
NOT backing Perry or Bachmann will bring us Romney.I am not sure Gingrich is who we need.
In this order for me
Bachmann
Santorum
Perry
Bachmann is the ideal candidate the Palinista’s need to get over they’re jealousy crap that Axelrod so loves.
How about
Santorum/Bolton
Santorum/Bachmann
Possibly Gingrich/West
Bachmann/Gingrich
Might be of interest at this juncture, as usual I misread and started right on the thread, but one can never pray too often.
How about we as FreePs have a FreePer Prayer Meeting...

D@m strait. I remember how “unifying” you were during the Palin thread wars. I’m having trouble keeping my breakfast down trying to take you seriously.
No dear lady, you are widely loved and respected here.
Me? probably not so much. But I will continue to stand for what I beleive and I will continue to tell it as reality tells me I have to. (Without being too mean towards anyone personally, unless they have it coming! LOL!.)
Sorry, it’s just hard to face this - very disappointing.
I bought my ticket for the train ride,
it stopped,
and I’m looking out the window,
and I don’t like what I see...
Joe Biden is the biggest shuck and jive artist on the national scene! Does that make me a racist too?

Well said, Ron.
LB is usually on the wrong side of every issue.
Thank you altura, you’ve been so gracious through this whole twisted situation. Cain supporters seem to be drifting towards Newt but I hope many of them gravitate towards Perry. That’s the direction I’m going in. Right now my enthusiasm isn’t there. I wanted Palin & Cain because they were outsiders. So is Perry. If he wins I just hope he has the strength to do what needs to be done.

If that was your point then we actually agree. Anything leaked to the media at this point regarding Cain was more likely from the Republican side. I think the Democrats would have LOVED to run against a novice like Cain - especially if they knew about the timebombs in his closet. And I'd still say we should thank anyone involved with leaking this information. Better we know now than in the middle of a general election campaign when there would be no way to undo a Cain nomination.
There is nothing "wrong" with me, thank you very much, I rather resent that. But whatever.
My apologies to you then. I was reading your post as an angry, bitter knee jerk attack at other candidates. I agree with you logic, though I'd say it is a very good thing we found about all this before any votes were cast.
Look, we don't know who released this stuff. Some may have come out the way lots of sleaze does - people that want their 15 minutes of fame. There is not necessarily any reason to believe there was any coordinated effort to knock Herman out of the race.
At the end of the day Cain simply had too many skeletons, with probably enough truth to them, to overcome. He bowed out the way all candidates with similar problems do, and with the same boiler plate statements - "the accusations are false", "my wife still loves me", "I'm still going to remain relevant", "the establishment is out to get me because of my ideas", etc, etc. That's all just a way to put a nice face on the fact he had sexually related scandals he couldn't get past.
I don't give a damn who uses these techniques.
You said it was proof...
It's not.
Again, you have absolutely no idea what the hell you're talking about.
YES! I watched the whole hour.
Gingrich is never without an answer and I must say, never without a good answer.
He will go after the Marxist with Atomic Newks!
