Herman Cain Announcement LIVE THREAD (Video Feed Link) [Suspending!]
HermanCain.com ^ | 12-03-2011

Posted on 12/03/2011 8:18:19 AM PST by montag813

Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.

We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?

HERE IS THE LIVE VIDEO FEED LINK: http://hermancain.com/livestream

Enjoy Obama’s second term, you deserve it.

Yes, because nominating someone with so much baggage they had to voluntarily drop out of the primary process would have been so much better, right?

Come on man, your guy didn't make it because he has too many skeletons in his closet. He couldn't adequately defend himself. Period. Had he been nominated and this stuff had come out in a general election it would have GUARANTEED Obama won again in November, 2012.

This is what the primary process is about - vetting candidates. Cain couldn't cut it and now he's done. Such is life. Get over it and stop your crying.

Those are completely and totally out of bounds and won’t be touched.

The messiah must be re-elected at all costs. They (media, etc.) destroy whoever is next in line for the Republican nomination until romney is the only one left. Once he’s the nominee, they’ll bring out the guns and destroy him too.

Right now in Washington, high fives are flying, congratulations calls are being made and the next attacks are being finalized.

Bet on it.

They are talking about Herman getting back in. I don’t see how. Why didn’t he at least say he was only suspending for a week to see how much $ rolls in.

I don’t care if he has a harem. I want a though and through conservative in the WH. It is none of our business who people sleep with before they get elected.

You bet Tom....And to be honest, given the number of bimbos who came out of the woodwork, there could very well be some truth to some of these allegations...Just a hunch.

Your 1st post told us all everything we need to know about your sleazy political scumbag mindset.

It reflects how you, put into Cain's place, would think and would act. It doesn't reflect on Cain, it does reflect on YOU.

Oh so you only support who is on top at this moment in time eh?

Like I said...Party before Principle.

Why not get behind a real conservative and fight to get them elected? Instead you just jump on a RINO bandwagon because he is up in the polls? Get freakin’ real man!

It will be interesting to see who he endorses.

I think “suspending” allows for him to get the bills paid....

No—it is Cain’s fault. He failed to realize that full disclosure of past peckerdillos is a primary requirement of presidential politics. You have to publish books like Barry or wear your past on your sleeve, like Newt.

Cain was truly an outsider—he didn’t know the rules of the game. It’s blood sport. Accordingly, he needs to sue Ginger White (poor “business woman” that she is) for slander. We’ll see if that happens.

You're candidate was too deeply flawed and had no chance to win.

LOL. The entire GOP candidate field is either flawed, has no chance to win, or both. Which unflawed shoe-in candidate are you supporting, sport?

It was an act of extreme patience that He hadn’t spit us out already. My daughter has been dry heaving for the last 3 days. I feel about the same way. Let’s just barf up the country and all the freedoms we’ve had for this anomalous time in history and go back to tyranny as is normal for governments on earth. We were exceptional but it’s over. The only people who can lead us are the corrupt ones. That’s what we learned today.

Sad.

If your theory is right, you should be thanking them (Romney, Perry, whoever else your blaming) for getting this stuff out there early INSTEAD of having it all blow up in October at the end of a general election.

Seriously, what is wrong with you? Whatever the truth is, all these allegations were enough to make Cain voluntarily drop his campaign. If he can't defend himself now, how the heck do you believe he'd have been able to do it in the general election? The WORST thing that could possibly happen is to nominate someone with skeletons that would explode in the middle of the general election.

Pardon me?? My assumption in my post is that the allegations are untrue. I will be the first to admit that might not be the case. I'm not a hardcore Cain supporter, and I really didn't like his lawyer's statement on Monday - made it sound like at the least, yes, he's had an affair.

But my point was (and still is) that IF we are blaming the left for character assassination, if that's what it is(?) then we need to be realistic about the fact that this doesn't make complete sense. It makes more sense for Romney or Perry to trump up the rumormongering etc. My "tarred and feather" comment is a bit strong but that is if the charges are LIES.

There is nothing "wrong" with me, thank you very much, I rather resent that. But whatever.

There are some well meaning people here who really get behind their candidate. We’re passionate about our love for country etc. Some here kinda lose a view of reality now and then. But there are worse characteristics people could have.

Know this much: Gingrich won't sit still or backdown from the vile media.

If anything, that's one of his major strong suits.

Yup, that and debate skills are his greatest strengths. Newt will take it to the media and it will be enjoyable to watch.

Terrible ..

Brutal persecution kicks in full throttle from the media thugs and operatives against any and all conservative candidates, congresscritters and causes.

Damn them all!!

DO NOT BE SUCKED IN by the FNC OBot and previous ACORN officie, Jehmu Green, the black 'pundit' on their panel today .. MOST vicious in that her slams are very insidious in their deceitful, coached soft spokenness and gentle disses and knocks.

SHE IS A DEVIL, a VIPER .. and the LAST political contributor FNC should ever have hired. It's deplorable, Roger Ailes!

She's been beauty spa-ed, cleaned up, given speech and poise lessons, sloppy clothes burned, classily dressed and all dolled up to LOOK typical ... but her nasty core and stripes are the same: AN EVIL, EVIL, MANIPULATIVE LIB OBOT WORSHIPPER AND PROUD PROGRESSIVE.

He said he will be endorsing a candidate at a later time.

Will, at that point, decide if being on the CainTrain was a mistake. Till then (Mr. Cain's endorsement), taking a second look at Ms. Bachmann.

I agree with you completely.

One good thing about being overseas is that allows one to see things from a more objective point-of-view. I’m not in the heat of the fray, surrounded by the American media.

You totally nailed it. Newt has ZERO appeal to Independents, which is what you MUST have to win.

Romney has ZERO appeal to Conservatives, which is glaringly obvious to anyone who takes even the slightest glance on FR or other conservative sites.

Bachmann, Santorum, Huntsman, Paul? Forget it. No appeal to Independents (though Paul does have his rather fanatic following).

It’s a cold equation. As things stand, Obama will be re-elected. If the economy improves even in the tiniest fashion next year, (or if the MSM reports it as such) there’s no way Obama can lose. He already has, at minimum, 40% of the electorate in his pocket.

Don’t believe me? Check out Intrade. Obama’s at a 51% chance to be re-elected to a second term. If you objectively stop and consider how horrible the US economy is right now, there’s no way in hell he should be anywhere near that high.

Cain was a good possibility to defeat Obama. He had a good personality, and he was affable. A good public speaker as well. However, he has now suspended (and most likely ended for good) his campaign. Hence my prognostication.
