Herman Cain is expected to make a "major announcement" today, anytime between 11am and 1pm EST in Atlanta. The media is assuming he will quit the race. Politico is positively glowing with anticipation of this. Will he fold, or FIGHT? He is also opening a new Atlanta HQ. Twitter reports that people are jamming in early to show their support.
We simply don't know what will happen, or when it will happen. What are your thoughts? Do you think he should quit? Or do you think Cain should stay in the race and deny the State-Run Media yet another GOP scalp on a platter - for unproven allegations -while they allow a vile rapist like Clinton, or commie cokehead like Obama breeze through unscathed?

yep
I’ve got a jazz box and a strat also...i need a LP to go with my herd...i will get around to it one day...i’ve played Fender necks so long i don’t know if we would get along though :)
Me too.
But then, I’ve also been stupid enough to think that the rule of law could still matter in this country. This country is WAY beyond that now.
Time for me to drop out of all this crap and just tend to my family. We’re going to need to hang together because things are gonna get a heckuva lot worse very soon.
Agreed. What a dirty campaign this has been, and we’re far from the end of it.
Here surrounded by this media sh**, it still looks the way you describe. Newt can’t win over the independents (the apolitical, busy americans) or the laid off Dems who hate Obama.
And Romney can’t get conservatives’ support.
That leaves Obama who will be helped by a media willing to lie to give him “good news” next year.
G-d, have mercy on the united states of America.
“This is bigger than one candidate. Every one of us should worry about this.”
Best comment on the thread.
you are right. takes all kinds in this world and most are represented right here on FR.
[in your dreams, its now Romneys to lose, has been all along.]
Not at all, Newt is already smoking Romney like a cheap cigar. (Sorry Hillary, no offense intended.)
Romney is resorting to direct attacks against Newt every chance he gets on FOX. But even they are starting to like Newt. It’s backfiring on Romney big time.
Wow. Thanks, STARWISE.
Aw. I guess it’s better than crying. But what are we going to do now?
I don’t see anything racist about “shuck and jive.”
I didn’t get labelled racist when I called Cain a “jive artist.”
These are colloquialisms that perfectly fit Hermano Cain.
I know that you Cain folks must feel horrible today and I refuse to gloat.
I feel bad for Cain today, because he is a very likable guy, regardless of what I think of him as a candidate.
I do hope that you will now support Newt.
In any case, I wish you Cain folks good health and healing.
You don't know diddly-squat about what I'm doing; let alone that I'm "folding like a cheap camera". FAIL.
If Barney the Purple Dinosaur wants to run for POTUS (whoever it is under that suit), as long as he qualifies he is FREE to run. LET HIM RUN... it's called FREEDOM.
It is wrong to slam Gloria Cain; it's none of your business what's going on in their marriage or family. It's over. Deal with it. And... take the fight forward.
They don't come more racist than white liberal Democrats from Massachusetts. That's just Jay being Jay.
I can’t believe all the “doomsdayers” who are predicting the fall of the nation over this decision.
If our forefathers had given up this easily, we would still be British with red-hair and bad teeth.
If the men who fought WWII had given up this easily, my grandmother would have never been liberated from Auschwitz and I wouldn’t even be a zygote.
NUT UP people! One man dropping out of the race does not necessarily herald the doom of the entire republic or even the election. It’s starting to sound like a bunch of DU idiots in here who threaten to leave the country every time something doesn’t go their way.
I liked Cain, would have likely voted for him. But he isn’t the Messiah- whether you’re waiting for the Messiah’s second visit or his first. :-)
This is no time for anyone to gloat or to attempt to sweep up Cain’s supporters.
The only point I’ll make here, is that I thought it was very classy of Herman Cain to take the time to inform the other candidates privately before making his announcement.
He didn’t have to do that. A class act.
It may not be the end of the country, but it’s the beginning of the end for the GOP.
In the context of this thread?
Come on...
