Cain to End Candidacy Tomorrow? (Major Announcement tomorrow.)
Big Government ^

Posted on 12/02/2011 11:35:32 AM PST by sunmars

Embattled presidential candidate Herman Cain is inviting his top supporters and donors to Atlanta on Saturday for a meeting in which he will give them advance word of whether he intends to continue his campaign, sources close to the campaign said Friday.

One supporter who has been summoned to the private session said he believes that Cain is likely to announce he is ending his candidacy.

Another who has been invited to the morning meeting says attendees have been told he has made no decision, but wanted to meet with some of the supporters to express his gratitude.

Several sources indicated that Cain is likely to announce his plans publicly at a news conference after the meeting. Cain had already scheduled an event on Saturday — the grand opening of his national headquarters in his hometown of Atlanta, as well as the announcement of his campaign’s freshly minted senior leadership team for the state of Georgia.

For God’s sake?

That sounds more like for your own sake.

No matter how you rationalize it, its either GOP or nobama.
3rd party or sit it out, no different than voting the straight D.

We as free Americans will not have another chance!

For supervisor-employee, yes. But now they’re hitting him on personal generosity. If we really swallow this, we’re saying that no Christians need apply to be President. Or that the only way to be safe is to leave your Christianity at the door.

The Bible actually talks about the day when “Because of the increase of wickedness the love of most will grow cold.”

I think we’re seeing that day right now. We have to decide how we respond to Axelrod’s Chicago when it ends up on every street in America. Will we give up on love, or will we love regardless of the cost?

This issue is far, far deeper than most people realize. A lot more is on the line than most people will ever recognize.

You go ahead and cheer the RINOs. Newt is going to defeat himself with absolute arrogance and puffed up self importance. His campaign is such a shambles he failed to get on the Missouri ballot.

For a guy who believes he is so smart, he sure screws up a lot on principles and detail.

Romney? He is nothing but a nice looking scammer who says what people want to hear and it shows.

Herman was a real person. In spite of you, I will miss his sunny demeanor and positive attitude.

The allegations mean nothing when it comes to Herman. At least he and his wife are still together. Newt is a confirmed scoundrel.

I’m a Cain supporter. I cannot understand how people can buy the rumor/inuendo and condemn him. I just don’t understand that.

As far as how he handled it: First you guys want an outsider, a non politician, you get one and than you are down on him because he doesn’t respond like a politician, he responds like a regular non political type would. Some of you never wanted Cain but didnt’ want to be dubbed as racists. Some of you were fair weather supporters in lip service only. As soon as the road got bumpy..ya’ll caved like a cheap tent.

You say you want a conservative, a christian, a business savvy guy, a smart guy and you let the stupid media and same old gray haired GOP rhinos make you a laughing stock. Rove actually chuckled about the Cain demise on Fox the other night. Come on...are ya all as dumb as Rove thinks you are? Yeah..I guess it’s either that or you don’t believe in the principles that you have claimed day in and day out on this wonderful sight.

Herman Cain hasn’t changed! YOU have. You got jello-legged and Axelrod and Rove knew ya would..WHY? Because you fell for the same danged knee-jerk crapola and ended up with McCain LAST time.

Instead of kicking a good man while he’s down. Maybe..just maybe so called tea party people and the infamous “conservatives” should do some soul searching of their own. Which one of you are going to stand up, try your hardest and get attacked like this? Palin and Cain tried..heck you fair weather so-called christians are as luke warm as you can be.

Come to think of it..this country deserves just what it’s going to get. With obama..it will come fast..with newt and mitt..it will be a hair slower..but MUCH more painful. Why? Because Herman Cain did not change..YOU did.

Hopefully for the Cain family, this train wreck can come to an end.

Either way, he just doesn’t seem as presidential as he used to.

Next you're going to tell me that you put some money in the red bucket at Wal-Mart just because some person was ringing a bell for the homeless....

What happened between me and the bell ringer just doesn't belong in a public forum. Money was involved, but that's all I feel comfortable saying about it at this time. :-)

Imagine if you had given money to him! I think it’s not so much the affair as a feeling he’s not trustworthy. Not so sure Mr. Newt is, but at least we don’t have him issuing thundering denials that he ever slept around. I’m not totally jumping the Cain ship, but then I was never really on it. If he’s done he’s done.

Crazy, right? Dan Rather couldn't even be bothered to find an IBM 72 Selectric typewriter to forge his historical text. The brilliance behind the media is blinding.

Well, I’m supporting Cain until I see hard proof of misconduct (Cain also was helping a male friend out financially who his wife didn’t know about). If this is just a pack of lies then we have let Cain be buried by the same goons who tried, and in some ways succeeded, to bury Sarah Palin.
