I do not buy the sex scandals that the media and Republican elite are selling. I am positively voting for Herman Cain in the GOP Iowa caucus on Jan. 3. I want to vote for a businessman and Washington outsider.

A perfectly fine decision.
Where are all the other posts at the article, other comments? Is there another link that shows multiple people stating who they are voting for, or is it just the lead article?
I’ll vote for him March 6th.
Hypocrisy is the elephant in the room with Newt Gingrich. His supporters want everyone else to overlook Newt's sexual misconduct that actually occured. Having many, many affairs while married and serving in Congress. Divorcing twice and leaving two families in emotional dishevel while he went on his merry way. I get slammed every time I bring this up on FR. Many of Newt's followers are using the GOD card to give Newt a free pass and marking anyone who brings up his immoral conduct by not also forgiving Newt as unChristian.
Well, I for one, don't believe Newt. He is a Professional Politician. He's a narcissist: Narcissistic personality disorder is a mental disorder in which people have an inflated sense of their own importance and a deep need for admiration. Those with narcissistic personality disorder believe that they're superior to others and have little regard for other people's feelings. But behind this mask of ultra-confidence lies a fragile self-esteem, vulnerable to the slightest criticism.
I'll take Herman Cain warts and all. Prayers Up for Mr. Cain and his family.
Amen! I will not vote for anyone that has ever supported abortion, because my conscious refuses me to do this.
Prayers for the Cain’s!
Me too. I was feeling unsure earlier, but this is really between Mr. Cain and his family. He may have not handled it well, but he's not a professional politician--and that's refreshing.
If he stays in and his wife supports him, I’ll suport him.
A noble senitment
I’m still voting Cain....MSM can get bent
And you still think Cain will be running?
MSNBC: Cain to Make Major Campaign Announcement on Saturday

Not to dismiss any of the other Republican candidates, but Herman Cain has one vastly important and significant difference - he can be positioned up against Barack Obama without the Democrats being able to pull the “race card” out one more time. To have Cain as our standard-bearer takes away the assertion made (but not ever supported by ANYTHING) that the conservative Republicans, and especially the T.E.A. members are “racist”.
If Obama pulls less than 95% of the black vote, his base is significantly diluted, and in side-by-side comparison between Cane and Obama, the current resident of the White House is revealed as morally corrupt, and incompetent as well. The basement offices of the White House are working overtime to paint Cain with something, anything, that distracts and/or diminishes Cain. Scratch deeply enough with any of these females claiming “sexual assaults” by Cain, and you find David Axelrod’s fingerprints all over the allegations. And these ARE allegations, not one shred of any kind of supporting evidence has been provided or even alluded to.
In the past, it was only necessary for a vague and unsubstantiated charge to be made, and the Republican hierarchy would crumble like a saltine cracker under the heel of a jack-booted thug. But these are not typical circumstances, and much more is at stake than a good word for the Republican leadership from the (lame-stream) media.
Yes! No more race card!
And think about this, how many black voters are going to think wait a minute, "If I vote for Herman Cain, then I will be a part of seeing two black men elected back to back. First a democrat, then a republican, something that could not happen in my lifetime again. Do I vote for looser obama? Or do I want to see history made in my lifetime and vote for Herman Cain?" Hmmm
I think they will vote for Herman Cain.
He’s going to make his announcement..what’s your point? Oh yeah, you automatically have pronounced him guilty and there’s no way he has guts enough to stay in..right?
I believe he is staying in. I believe that that high-powered lawyer and investigators are on to something and eventually it will all come out.
I think he will come back with his wife’s blessings. She is no push over..if he comes back on the campaign trail after discussing it with the family..you betcha I think he’ll stay.
And you still think Cain will be running?
MSNBC: Cain to Make Major Campaign Announcement on Saturday

This is typical media hype. Fox reported that the “big announcement” is about the opening of their Georgia headquarters, but of course speculation has to be hyped that he’s dropping out. Cain is a huge threat to Obama. Cain still gets my vote. The women accusers have backgrounds that make them not credible and there’s been no solid proof. I’d rather have a philanderer who knows how to run a real business than someone like Newt who we’re supposed to trust has truly changed. Heck, at least with Cain if he really did have a 13 year affair at least he stuck it out with the two of them. We’ve had philanderers in office since the country’s inception. He can do what he wants in his private sex life. It’s the running of the government I’m concerned about. And what’s the next accusation going to be to disqualify a candidate? Masturbation as a teen-ager?
I am not in IA and his IA Chair said things are kinda bad at the moment, but I agree with you. IF he decides to stay in the race, he will surprise people. Keep me posted on your thoughts from IA.
I’ve gotten emails today wanting “my story” and feed back. They wanted to know about their supporters..how do we feel, what do we want, what is our story in this thing called life. So..we wrote him back.
They said that they were trying to see what the support is, where it is and if we still want him to run.
I left no doubt where I stood. I can’t remember being this vocal on FreeRepublic or anywhere else for that matter. I am just amazed at the amount of people willing to throw good people under the bus..I think they are all scared. Some are scared Cain could win it, some are scared to stand up for him..I still have my family’s pioneer guts and bull-headedness.
I told Cain we would support him until he told us not to.
Steve Grubbs said that he was polling low, 3rd place, but low in IA. I think he has good support on the ground...more than people think. I am a Cain guy and I hope he decides to stay. Keep us posted...
So did I.:) I sent a Merry Christmas video and an email of support.
