On Wednesday, Dec. 7, the Republican Jewish Coalition will host a presidential-candidates forum featuring Michele Bachmann, Herman Cain, Newt Gingrich, Jon Huntsman, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, and Rick Santorum. Not invited is the GOP candidate currently polling around third in New Hampshire and second in Iowa: Rep. Ron Paul (R-Texas). The explanation:
Paul was not invited to attend the RJC's candidates forum because the organization - as it has stated numerous times in the past - "rejects his misguided and extreme views," said [RJC Executive Director Matt] Brooks.
"He's just so far outside of the mainstream of the Republican party and this organization," Brooks said. Inviting Paul to attend would be "like inviting Barack Obama to speak."

"Extreme"? A candidate who wants to end sending billions of dollars to a Middle-Eastern welfare state and doesn't want to go to war over flawed/fraudulent intelligence is labeled as "extreme"?
I never thought I'd see the day when a presidential candidate has to literally promise a war in order to get elected. The Republican party has gone completely insane. Quick, someone tell me the difference between the two parties again.
Not all Jews are smart.(tm)
Don’t worry. The PaulBots will spam the post-debate poll to make it look like he won the debate anyway.
I’m not a big Paul fan but this is BS.
Wrong Paul thinks it is just hunky dory if Iran gets a nuke.
Iran has called for wiping Israel off of the map.
I have no problem with this decision whatsoever.
They recognize his anti-Semitic views - its that simple.
I agree. No good reason to ban Paul from any debate sponsored by anyone.
Most jews vote Democrat.
What happens to Iran if they wipe Israel off the map?
Don’t forget that Paul said on the house floor, that Iran really didn’t mean that “wiping Israel off the face of the map”, it was just talk after all.
The “debate” over that country is supposed to be behind closed doors, there exists a slight chance that this move will backfire upon the supporters of Israel. Simply, because Paul is an outlet for high IQ Republicans frustrated with the rackets of defense and welfare, not a demographic I would go out of my way to insult. Also Paul if this is to be believed receives the most donations from armed forces members, even Peyton Hillis starting tailback of the Cleveland Browns supports Paul (suffer that Hewitt)
Nothing if Paul were president.
I’m torn on this one.
I hate Ron Paul and everything he stands for on the whole subject of Islam and anti-semitism, and I can understand the group hating him on that score too.
On the other hand, the only fair disqualifier in a presidential debate, in my opinion, is lack of support at the polls.
Nothing, why?
Well, there is a precedence for them to think he is anti-semetic.

One thing that I agree with Glenn Beck on is when evil makes a threat we should take it seriously.
Good time to catch a nap.
I think they should be more honest and simply say that "The coalition vigorously disagrees with Dr. Paul's views on certain foreign policy issues and does not wish to provide a forum for them to be disseminated."
I take a little exception to the coalition taking on themselves the right to define what is "mainstream republican". That is for the ALL of the members of the republican party to decide.
On the other hand, I am glad to see they didn't stoop to calling Paul "anti-Semitic" or anti-Israel".
exactly
True. Unfortunately Paul hasn’t met a terrorist yet that he doesn’t make some sort of excuse for, the man is delusionally dangerous.
