Can’t see how Cain recovers from this. Suspect, barring the unexpected, we’re looking at a 2 man show; Gingrich/Romney.
Who needs Axelrod and Emmanuel dirty tricks when we’ve got suicidal candidates like this to painstakingly do their work for them.
Upon further reflection....has Politico’s biased witchhunt done us a favor?
A married man just does not give money without wife’s knowledge and approval to an attractive single woman for no reason.
Truth or not is yet to be determined.
My husband and I help the down and outs. We consider many to be our better friends, and it has been a blessing to see some rise from their life’s circumstances. However, some make a living begging for money. They will have an “emergency” and will call several times a day. Then they will call someone else several times a day until they get enough money to last for a while.
A period of time will go by, sometimes months, even years, without a peep from them. Then they will have another “emergency.” Sometimes you just have to cut them off.
Ms White seems like the down and out type. Lin Wood mentioned the number of text messages she made in addition to the ones she made to Herman Cain. It appears she had a network of people who gave her money.
Some down and outs are not faithful friends. They would do anything for money. It looks like White was paid to betray a faithful friend who helped her out financially. It wouldn’t surprise me if one day she calls him up again to help pay her bills. It is a different mindset. That kind doesn’t have a conscience.
Looks like I’m a Newt man now.

Think it is time to stop blaming the leftist press for Cain’s problems. If he hadn’t done this, which he now admits too then it wouldn’t have been reported. Cain can blame everyone he wants but the buck stops with him. Can’t believe, someone in his position would do such dumb things over so many years.
Meanwhile, his vanity candidacy has now wreaked havoc on his family. Hope it was worth the book sales, Herm. Now take your stupid national sales tax boondoggle and LEAVE THE STAGE.
Your thoughts? You know him.
It’s the hat. Never trust a guy that wears a pimp hat.
Cain had a good interview with Cavuto the other day and seemed to be finally doing a good job answering questions about these allegations.
The interview with Hannity last night was not so good. The whole “lets not play detective” thing didn’t come off well at all. It felt like Sean was trying to help him by suggesting the hotels must have records and video that could be used to prove his innocence, but Herman really didn’t seem to want to go down that road. Very baffling considering how determined you’d think an innocent married man would be to prove allegations of an affair were utterly bogus.
Men are such asses when it comes to women.
Giving her money ???????
Hello, you are married and this woman is gay and nothing to you anyway, does this make you feel good? give to a church and let them help the hapless.
There is an old saying that goes something like this: “If you are going to screw around with another woman, make sure she has as much to loose as you do”.
I donated to Fred Thompson’s campaign... then he quit.
I donated to Herman Cain’s campaign... he will probably quit.
I’m beginning to feel I need to stop donating to campaigns.
I hate to see this happen to anyone’s family, especially in the public fashion that this is turning into.
She wasnt the only friend who I had helped in these tough economic times, and so her messages to me were relating to need money for rent or whatever the case may be. I dont remember all the specifics.
The questions I have would be...
- Cain knew about this before he decided to run for President, so why didn’t he THINK about this ‘before’ he decided to run for President?
- If he did, then he made the conscious decision NOT to disclose anything, so shouldn’t he have to answer for why he kept this in the dark?
- Couldn’t he at least have gone over it with his wife, and his campaign advisers?
I don’t believe Cain.
It’s that simple.
It wasn’t his soft heart that got him in trouble it was something much harder than that.
