I was reading this article in the WSJ becoming more and more outraged so I skipped to the end and saw it was written by Andy Stern. Of course, he would like the ChiCom economic model over American free enterprise.

The Journal must have printed it for a know thy enemy perspective.

How a “labor leader” could praise the communist slave camp is beyond understanding, except that they are commies not labor leaders.

The left pretends to care about people, kids, workers, minorities, women, old people, etc - and it will destroy the life of every single one of them.

"The President took me around the world, told me what was going on, the flash points. When he got to China he told me a little story. He said, "I was talking to Hu Jintao, and I said, 'Hu, when you get up every day, what's the biggest challenge you've got?' and the president of China said, 'I have to keep my peasants in the country. If my peasants flood the cities, I lose control of them. I don't have the jobs in the cities for 'em. I have got to keep 'em where they are. Plus, I have to create 25 million jobs a year, but I can't let the peasants over here.'

This is what the president of the United States told me, that the ChiComs would not survive if every peasant tried to get into a city or a job 'cause they just weren't there. So now, as it turns out, you have to have a green card to move from the country to the city, and they are almost impossible to get. The Chinese peasants are almost as poor as they ever have been."

This is it exactly, and it's going to happen in the next 3 years. Food riots in Beijing live on Fox.

hey andeeee...no one in this country keeps people from leaving. Ever! So, if you don’t like how we do things here... get the hell out. Plain and simple. However, you would prefer the FREEDOM to say what you want, WRITE what you want, make the BIG BUCKS that you like all the while knowing you can do just that because you are in the land of the free.
Go elsewhere and try that. Go...go ahead. We certainly won’t miss you but YOU will miss the freedoms you enjoy along with the big fat paycheck you take home. Go, go now you hypocrite and... good luck.

The idiots never figure it out. Anyplace with a long tradition of capitalism never holds to communism for long.

Look at Vietnam. After all the blood that was shed they have a communist government but economic communism was an utter failure so they saved face by going to something called socialist oriented market economy which is capitalism with a communist friendly name. They encourage private ownership of all but a few strategic industries.

Another one with that "communism is the future" lie. You know what the Founding Fathers would do to someone that promoted a way of life that included centralization of all industry in state hands, abolition of private property and the family, and banning of religion in general? He'd be hung as a traitor to the USA. The same Founders that said things like "religion and morality are indispensable supports" for the US society, and that said that "(o)ur Constitution is made only for a moral and religious people" would make short work of thugs that wanted to set up state atheism and totalitarianism based on technological repression of the people.

PS. One way to make the pics fit better is to use the "align" command within the "img" tag: syntax is <img align="right" src="http://website.com/img.jpg"> (that's what I did with the pic of Washington).

The labor union movement has totally changed since I was young. They used to fight with management over money but knew darn good and well it all came from a free market economy. The AFL-CIO cooperated with Reagan to try to overthrow communism in Eastern Europe.

These new government unions are run by a bunch of socialists.

A few decades ago most unions were anti-communist. here is self-admitted proof that they are now communist controlled and seek that future for the US. Will union members wake up to this or are they so indoctrinated that they are obiedently following?

Also Proof of what Obama wants for this country.

The only thing “communist” about China and Vietnam is the way they use the name to justify their authoritarian governments.

Communism simply doesn’t work as an economic system. Even Cuba is starting to take baby steps in the right direction.

Thanks for the ping. Yes, communism is the goal of those who want totalitarian power and those who want free handouts.

I don't see how that's going to work.

If we adopt the chi-com model, who would we steal the technology from to make cheap crap to sell to them?

Wide spread corruption is part and parcel of the “China Model.”

So, no Thanks.

Chavez isn’t going to be around much longer to fund the Castros’ economic disaster. They’ll have to reform once their on their own.
