OSCEOLA COUNTY, Fla.
Gov. Rick Scott will be in Osceola County Thursday to make a major jobs announcement. He is expected to announce that firearms manufacturing company, Colt, will open a new plant in Kissimmee and it is expected to bring hundreds of jobs.

Psst... CT if they do... I believe it is due to your high COST of business!!!
Mallony do something... STOP THEM from moving!!! /s
That’d be awesome!
That would be just about as cool as PowderMonkey’s suggestion that they bring back the Python.
I can't figure it out either, but Kimber aren't the only ones. Henry Rifles has a plant in Brooklyn, NY.
Don’t you just LOVE our state?
A-yep!
The little Leftists on the WFTV comment section are still whining. Jobs, no jobs, they don’t care as long as they have something to whine about.
the majority of our gun manufacturers are in the northeast. Cold, S&W, Ruger, Kimber and others. I just don’t get it. But then on the other hand, the county where Jack Daniels is distilled is dry. So are most of the counties in Kentucky where all that really good bourbon is made. Guns and liquor. We’ll make it, but you can’t uy it here. Go figure.
That became an issue in the early years of the Cold War...when M1 Garand production was starting up again at the tail end of Korea, it became apparent that having all of America’s major small arms factories within a day’s drive of each other—and vulnerable to overlapping nuke strikes—was not a good idea.
Hence, the intriguing (and still controversial) awarding of Garand rifle production to International Harvester in Vincennes, Indiana.
