Newt Gingrich: The Obama Re-Election Team Is ‘Determined To Distort Everything They Can’
ABC News ^ | Nov 30, 2011 | Michael Falcone

Newt Gingrich says “it’s clear the country is talking to itself” and what they’re saying is: “We need Newt Gingrich.”

In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity that will be broadcast Wednesday night, Gingrich acknowledges that even he’s been surprised by his rapid rise in the GOP primary field.

“Whereas I would have thought originally it was going to be Mitt and not-Mitt, I think it’s going to — it may turn out to be Newt and not-Newt,” Gingrich tells Hannity, according to excerpts of the interview . “And that’s a very different formula than, frankly — I mean we’re having to redesign our campaign strategy because we’re at least 60 days ahead of where I thought we’d be.”

When asked about his ties to Freddie Mac and his business interests as head of the Gingrich Group, the former House Speaker said that the media and the Obama campaign were out to get him.

“Some elements of the press — largely the Obama reelection team — are determined to distort everything they can,” he said.

Gingrich said he considers himself “the more conservative candidate by any rational standard” as well as the most electable.

Among the qualifications he listed: “I helped Ronald Reagan and Jack Kemp develop supply side economics. I helped lead the effort to defeat communism in the Congress.”

And in the interview, which will air at 9 p.m. ET on Wednesday,

Not allowing these lies to fester out there to long after they have been spewed by the community organizer and chief the regime and socialist media would help to keep it current, fresh and in thier face.

To quote Jethro Bodine;

[Jethro and Cousin Pearl are driving in the truck to Jed’s place]
Cousin Pearl: Jethro, did you take care of those old brakes like I told you to?
Jethro: Yes, Ma, I pulled them off the truck yesterday. The new brakes should be coming in the mail next week.

It is very likely Newt will beat Romney,
then Obama is toast, thats why Obama’s team is very
scared of Newt.

I think it’s the opposite. Axlerod is indifferent to either. They’re both beatable. The irony is that Barak and Michelle are the 1%.

Ditto.

Newt is the professor Obama always wanted to be. He will lecture the boy-king and send him back to high school.

It’s apparent that Newt isn’t afraid of the heat... I think he likes it.

Romney is about to become toast and Newt will destroy Obama.

Perhaps, but people saw and experienced what an
intelligent (and experienced,e.g gov) Pres like Clinton
could do for the country, and Newt has vast amount of
experience and the intelligence to solve the country’s
economic problems, as well as creating new solutions for
energy needs, etc.

[Obama failed partly because he had no prior experience
and was basically an ex community organizer.]

My work is just about done here. By this time next week all the new polls will be out, and you handful of dweebs spamming every Gingrich thread with half truths will be pretty much irrelevant. Thank you for helping me make my case so many times. It’s been fun.

Newt is an idea guy and his Contract with America was brilliant, but he’s an egomaniac and the archetype Washington insider. He stunk as Speaker and got booted.

Clinton’s bacon was saved by a GOP house that forced him to reason. Welfare reform was a GOP program. Clinton was a failure as President, just ask his wife.

Clinton’s economic policies worked.
People can change, Newt learned new things during these
recent 10-20 years.
I would choose Newt over Romney on any day of the week.
