November 29, 2011 (LiveAction.org) - Ann Furedi, chief executive of the abortion chain British Pregnancy Advisory Service recently engaged with Will Saletan in a debate over the issue of late-term abortion. During her opening statements, Ann made some comments that caught my attention. She admitted that a late-term fetus connects with people because it looks like a baby. Of course though to Ann, it isnt a baby nor worth of legal protection.
She further states that there is no evidence to suggest that we need to restrict later abortions in any way. What sort of evidence is she looking for? Does the fact that a late-term abortions painfully and violently ends the life of a human being count as evidence?
Surely Ms. Furedi knows what a late-term abortion looks like being the CEO of the largest independent British abortion chain. For those that want a real and frankly brutal education about what a later-term abortion looks like, you can see abortions on video at about the 20th weeks here. (WARNING, content is very graphic.)
Furedi rightly points out that there isnt any profound point at which you can say there is a difference between one kind of fetus and another. She uses this lack of difference to argue that since terminating early-term humans is fine in her view then how can later-term abortions not be an acceptable decision.
She goes on to state:
I accept that abortion stops a beating heart and I accept that abortion ends a potential human life, even in the very earliest weeks of pregnancy.
I am grateful that Furedi is honest about the medical science that the human heart begins to beat about three weeks after the joining of sperm and egg. Being honest about what abortion does doesnt make it any more acceptable though. In the same way, honestly acknowledging that killing a three-year-old child stops their heartbeat doesnt make it right.
I also wonder how exactly Furedi defines human life since clearly she thinks that abortion only ends a potential instead of actual human life. At what point does she recognize human life begin? Dose it magically start when a baby bursts forth from his or her mothers womb? Were newborn children just potential human lives moments earlier?
Finally, near the end of Furedis opening comments is where she makes the statement that stuck me most. She questions herself saying, Does late abortion have a detrimental effect on society? No, I really dont think it does. To that I wonder, what sort of detrimental effect is Furedi looking for? Are mangled human bodies not enough?
You can read the entire comments by Ann Furedi here.

This makes her a murdering bitch.
But I’m sure she thinks it would be just awful if someone ended her potentially-human (a shame she never realized the potential ...) life today.
It all boils down to believing that it’s okay to kill other people if you want to, as long as it can be made legal.
They are not even trying to hide their actions now. America today is beginning to look a lot like Germany in the 1930’s. Will we wake up before it is too late?

Yes. Her response would probably be:
“And your point is?”
Which shows just how far society has deteriorated.
Civilization has always accepted that it is legal to put the guilty to death for capital crimes, but until recently civilization always protected the innocent (this is why the Nazis defined Jews and others as "non-persons" or "sub-humans").
“Will we wake up before it is too late?”
We are awake. The question is what will we actually do? Presently we are still trying reason and persuasion.
Culturally, pro-life is actually winning the fight. Young people increasingly look at abortion with horror and disgust. We fail to make any impact on the entrenched dead souls in political and administrative authority.
Civilization rose up, and now it is declining, morally, to what might be considered the “lowest common denominator,” or what might be considered the “historical norm.” Societies that have protected the weak from the strong have been exceptions.
Decades ago there were moral countries to stand up to the evils of Nazism; unfortunately, there may not be any moral nations today with the power to stop evil.
Stronger nations are more interested in forcing immorality on poorer ones.
Premeditated, murder for hire, in fact.
We make a mistake in thinking that the abortion advocates “just don’t understand that its a baby”.
These people would be killing 2-year-olds if they could get away with it.
May God stop her heart soon.
And likewise, Margaret Sanger understood that abortion stops a bearing heart — especially in a black child — but she still founded PP.
Lord have mercy on her and on all who work in any abortion facility.
>> This makes her a murdering bitch.
I was thinking Satan’s whore.
Things certainly have been spiraling downward at an ever increasing rate since Roe v. Wade.
Coincidence? I think not.
