After reports surfaced Tuesday morning that pizza magnate Herman Cain is reassessing his 2012 Republican presidential nomination bid, POLITICO obtained a statement from a Cain campaign spokesman regarding his candidates consideration of dropping out of the race.
Yes, the campaign spokesman said Tuesday when asked whether Cain would definitely remain in the race.
The clarification comes after the National Review Online released statements that Cain made in a conference call with campaign aides Tuesday morning. During the call, Cain made the following statements, We have to do an assessment as to whether or not this is going to create too much of a cloud, in some peoples minds, as to whether or not they would be able to support us going forth, Cain said.

Eff that. Racists need to be called on their crap. I won't back down from that.

What a handsome family. He must be very proud of his wife and children.
“If he can prove that someone is putting these women up to this, he wins big ...if he cant prove it ....the campaign slowly dies.”
Assuming Mr. Cain is being completely honest with us, then he needs to put several investigators onto these women, particularly this last one, and really get the goods on them: not all their financial troubles, but who is putting them up to these accusations and making it worth their while. If his investigators could find that kind of info on ONE of these women, that could put this whole thing to rest, AND give Cain a saintly aura that would leave Obama in the dust. I hope his people are smart enough to be working on that ... and I hope there really is some dirt to find.
This is good news! Even if he loses the primary, better that he goes down with a fight. Another thing, even IF he’s really this lecherous horndog some are making him out to be, wasn’t he in the middle of battling stage IV cancer while all this was supposedely going on? I would think that this sort of carrying on would be the last thing on anyone’s mind in that situation.
This shows what a strong person and FIGHTER he is!
We need to fight, too, and support him against the leftist machine which does this to conservative politicians, especially if they are women (like Palin), or minorities (like Cain).
I don't share your assessment of Gingrich as uncivil, but if he's uncivil in taking the fight to Obama, I welcome it. I haven't seen Newt be arrogant when addressing fellow Republicans in the debates. I have seen him show disrespect to members of the MSM who are intent on playing "gotcha" games and trying to advance the left's agenda.
The media deserve hostility and disrespect, not civility.
I have been involved in the past with data dumps involving document forensics. If someone is determined to "get" Cain, they can easily produce documents that "seem" real. Without certified records directly from the Cell companies, I wouldn't trust it.
He only recently became the frontrunner.
If he wins the nomination he'll be hit from every side and angle by a press that hates his guts...just like McCain. The only difference is, Newt is ready for them.
He's the only candidate in the Republican field capable of taking them on.
According to one of his body guard Cain sleeps about 4 hours a night.

I cant see supporting someone with such poor judgment.
Best news of the day!
I've known people like that. Over-achievers - every one.
Well, of course he will, but here's the strategy angle you're failing to see.
The real threats to the Dem/RINO ruling class establishment are being attacked and undermined NOW. Long before the first primary votes are cast. There's an effort afoot to eliminate them from serious contention, leaving only the establishment's favorite sons to compete for the nomination.
Those favorite sons are Mitt and Newt. It's why you don't hear a peep out of the mainstream press about them. As you've already said, they won't be attacked until one of them has secured the nomination, and that is the simplicity of the left's master plan to re-elect Obama.
As far as they're concerned, the type of people who would really correct the system must be prevented from getting the nomination at all costs. Only their approved candidates will be allowed to run the full course of the race.
The press isn't going after all of our candidates. Some of them are no threat, because they're already so far out of contention. No need to waste resources on them. They're only going after those candidates who have high poll numbers, and who don't meet with their approval.
So ask yourself. With Newt and Mitt in the top three, why aren't they sustaining any attacks from the left, as Herman Cain is?
Indeed.
I normally find it easy to reply to insulting BS with a polite answer. This is about the toughest test I've ever had on FR.
None have them have conversed on this thread so far.
Maybe it's because us "Newtbots" don't believe in jumping into threads about other candidates with drive-by flamage. A concept which is clearly unfamiliar to you.
